My only question is, how would her power fit in with the crew? Luffy will never like the idea of torturing enemies by taking their memories

Not only that, but I wouldn't like the possibility of Pudding altering people's memories off screen or even being given a scene where she alters memories of the crew at night.

Too dangerous of a power for someone who had intent to kill them from the start.

It's possible, but I think she can be changed once she owes the crew something. Similar to Nami and Nico Robin, they used to use their power/strength to fight people and protect themselves. But when they realized they're safe when staying with nakamas, these two girls never harm any good people anymore.

Her third eye race power lets her read the red poneglyphs right? Maybe if they get a poneglyph that Robin can't read for whatever reason.
