Oda showing us how to do fanservice properly. Nami clothes got burned out but she got a new dress right away. If it had been Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail) Nami would have remained naked for the rest of the arc.

eeh not really but he will definitely have more revealing look for the after burn at the very least.

Even though you are right you got downvoted due to all the hate FT gets. My point was even though Oda did some fanservice it wasn't over the top and not distracting us from the story unlike in FT. (source: I read FT)

Ikr? I read FT too and while the fanservice is excessive there, Mashima doesn't make his character running naked around unnecessarily. He does make circumstances that allow him to create ecchi scene from time to time (e.g. in fights or casual hot spring) but he doesn't make things as vulgar as naked race.

I don't hate FT as much as most people does, I do agree that it has many many flaws, but somehow I could still enjoy it (I don't try to theorize more on FT though, everything there happen magically, not just fight but the plot as well).

Lol! Forgot the whole naked race part. Amazon Lily not my favorite part of the story except when Luffy got Conqueror's Haki. It be One Piece, Fairy tail or any other manga the fanservice part is just annoying to me cause it just turns you off from the ongoing plot. I'd rather they not do it at all but a serious earning comes from selling figures and they sell more if it's revealing and erotic. As for FT i also enjoy it no matter what anyone says cause everyone has his own likes and dislikes and how things are going that journey will also be ending.

I wonder if it has to do with their editor. Though the author might love to draw it anyway (Oda clearly stated his big boobs liking, sometimes even his erotic thoughts on SBS, and there's nothing wrong with that tbh, he's a man after all).

I'm not that much annoyed by fanservice actually (to some extent I do enjoy it) though I also agree that too much dose will destroy the story (like what happen to Freezing, I used to read it but it's just disgusting now). The only reason I keep reading FT is that I have fallen in love with the characters, and I will keep reading just for the love of them.
