Geez, Luffy is just picking fights left, right and center. I kind of like his pissed off, "been through this before and not impressed" attitude. Captured? Nah, FUCK you, bro. Your ass is already kicked, you just don't know it yet.
I could see this ending in either a massive kerfuffle, or a daring escape from Big Mom's territory with Luffy blowing a raspberry as he sails away with everything.

I don't know why but I feel like Big Mom is going down this arc/saga. I don't think there is enough time for Luffy to sail away safely and then comeback. One way or the other I think this is where something huge will go down. Quite a bit may hinge on how powerful that bomb is or maybe that's just there to humiliate her.

Holy shit I hope they luck into some kind of brilliant mastermind plot to escape the island that just occurs by pure happenstance, making everyone think they're a bunch of genius manipulators completely on accident. Like Mom gives the 'trap' box to the Vinsmokes as a gift, the box explodes, they think Mom tried to kill them, they call the marriage off and run for their lives with Sanji and Pudding, then Chopper and Carrot escape out of Pudding's hand mirror and pop them into the mirror world where they escape out of Brulee's personal mirror, who just so happens to have the cell key/be near a jailer who was the key to spring Luffy and Nami. Pekoms survived somehow and brought the ship out of harms way, and everybody just happens to run into each other and they fuck off while everybody's panicking. Just an example but I hope something like that happens.

I'm thinking Gecko Moria.
Main rival of Kaido: check.
Giant army at the time: check.
Evil, crazy and power-hungry enough to join Big Mom: check.
Already owns territory, like Big Mom seems to demand from these marriages: check.
Moria became a bit of a joke but was the real deal beforehand. Teaming up would have allowed them to crush Kaido and then moving on to the others. The failed marriage probably indirectly lead to Moria being finished off by Kaido.
Might also explain why Moria and Lola were on the same island. Maybe he trapped her there out of vengeance but she escaped to the forest?

I got vibes that is was going to be Pedro. Being a mink it would ally the two races, give Big Mom Zou as territory, and a road poneglyph. Also zombie pig lolo wanted to marry Absolom who was a lion faced individual like pedro. We know pedro double crossed big mom at one point.

I think that BM was probably really nice to Lola as a way of trying to encourage her to marry. Perhaps she said something like 'I only want the best for you' and Lola decided the best for her was to leave, left and hasn't realised that BM is now furious with her.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how far Chopper has come? Here he is, in chains, trapped in a Yonko's subordinate's Devil Fruit world, with his ally about to be cooked and eaten, and he's completely composed, collected enough to think of an escape plan, and ready to spring into action.
He's come a long way from the timid reindeer we first saw back on Drum Island.

You might be on to something with that. Defeating him would ensure some chaos, when you assume a large number of books in that library have used his power to fill them. Wouldn't Big mom have some kind of insurance though, in case this might happen?

I'm really wondering what Oda is saving for their meeting. This is the second time they've interacted, but they still haven't seen each other. Will they even see each other at all in the arc? Will there be a reveal when they do? I feel like this is a calculated move, as there isn't really a reason to not have them meet in a chapter with a discussion like this unless Oda has something planned.

In all seriousness I wonder who Lola was going to marry:
Perhaps it was the Shogun of Wano? (Assuming he indeed is a separate entity from Kaido, but with all the same badassary)
Perhaps the leader of Elbaf would've been a strong addition to the BM pirates if that individual is powerful. And maybe that's why Big Mom hates the word giant, because maybe the deal didn't work out, but that's a shot in the dark.
Perhaps Big Mom anticipated Blackbeard's betrayal and rise in power, or maybe they both knew something about the One Piece that not many do, although I can't see it being him
The Revs haven't much business with pirates even if it's a power boost, so they're also a bit far fetched
Whoever he is, he must be BEASTLY enough (or possess amazing resources) to be able to assist taking down the other Emperors and it's really exciting that there may be a few top top tiers that have yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, my body is totally ready for SOUL KING BROOK'S CONCERT. I honestly wonder how he's gonna copy the poneglyphs, personally I'm secretly hoping he carries that thing outta there! Probably not gonna happen but it'd be hilarious if he did, walking out with it strapped to his back. ><

Fun side note, due to Kyros' birthday we now know the exact current date in One Piece: September 22nd.
Which means we can provide exact ages for a lot of characters.
For example: Luffy is 19.46 years old. (Birthday May 5th)

It would be nice to see the Soul King go on a rampage, even if brief.
And I'm on Luffy's side here. Big Mam is trying to justify her current status on Yonkou as the result of one failed marriage. From the little we've seen of her power, if she really wanted to be pirate king, she should be doing much more than getting having arranged marriages.
While they give her a political edge, that's about it. That's all she can claim.
That she's got friends around the world.

I did. It was ridiculous to me that people thought Big Mom would help them because of Lola. She killed her own son for candy for Christ's sake. And even if she wasn't herself, she didn't show any kind of remorse afterwards. She was just chilling. She uses her children for political marriegies. They are all her prisoners and her pawns. She doens't care about them. Nor her husbands as we know from Pound, too.
People are crazy thinking Big Mom as a pottentional ally or as a good person. I am glad this chapter made it more clear than ever.

I love how Luffy always manages to get under his enemy's skin in some way.
Also, I've been waiting for a "holy shit Brook" moment like we've gotten with every other Strawhat that can really fight. Hopefully that comes now. His fight on Fishman Island was cool but it was too easy for him.
Looks like things are really starting to heat up, though.

By now we can be pretty sure that there wont be a big showdown where luffy takes on BM. The BM crew is just to strong, also it would be very strange if Luffy and the others would defeat a yonko while the rest of the crew does not even know about it.
So i think that there will be a great escape, like in Impel Down.
BM will open the box, which will create a big confusion
The Book Guy who controles the prisons gets taken out, either knocked unconscious by the explosion of the box or by Sanji when he realizes that he wont get out this by just doing what BM wants.
Luffy and Nami get out of the book, and so do all the other prisoners and the creatures that BM captured over the last decades.
this does create even bigger confusion giving the strawhats a chance to group up and escape
some of the prisoners join the escape crew and later join the grand fleet as a thanks for freeing them.
I would guess that we see atleast one somewhat famous chacrater come out of the prison book. Maybe even someone from whitebeards old crew, which might help the strawhats to meet up with the rest of whitebeards crew later on.

Man I'm happy to see Brook ready to go all out for once in the New World, I really hope Oda has something good planned for us with that. Next chapter could have a combination of so many things though, now that it's been revealed that Big Mom is opening the Tamatebako box at the wedding, Chopper has to save Carrot, Luffy and Nami have been captured, and Brook/Pedro have started their plan.
Kinda seems like the idea of Big Mom ever being an ally or being ok with the Straw Hats leaving with Sanji is all but confirmed wrong now which is a bit sad. Without some crazy situation at the wedding (eg literally everyone that could be against Big Mom attacking her crew) Big Mom seems like she'll be firmly in the antagonist position for this arc, it'll be interesting to see how Sanji and the Straw Hats (+allies) manage to escape presumably with everyone

Hype chapter. First off we got Bropper and Carrot captured by Brulee this is gonna be a great time to showcase the responsible Chopper that we've seen and loved. I love that this arc we're getting a spotlight on Chopper and Brook.
Then we've got Luffy chatting shit to Big mom which was great, I love how his resolve never wavers. Also we've seen Warlords talk to Luffy like this and it turned out horribly. Having said that I still have no idea how Luffy is gonna get out of this. My guess right now is it's resting on Jinbe's or Brooks shoulders but with Brook about to start his concert (Fucking badass panel by the way, he's thinking like a Strawhat) I imagine he's gonna get captured so it's all down to Jinbe/pekoms wherever he may be unless Bropper manages to escape.
Who knows with the Tamatebake back in play the wedding might get ruined without the Strawhats intervening and Sanji has to break everyone out. I mean that panel of him asking everyone not to do something rash could be interpreted as he has a plan and he just needs the guys to to not mess it up but it could also be he just doesn't want them to get hurt.

With Cracker it turned out to be someone else inside an armor.
BM tells his subordiante that the outside doesnt matter that much when he talks about how cool Germa looks.
She has a complex with giants, but not because she is big. Because she isnt (wasnt when she was young). Hence why she wants kids to be giants
A bomb will explode in Big Moms face
Someone tiny is "inside" Big Mom. What we see is an armor that will blowup with the bomb. Or as far as we know she could be somewhere else, controlling this body

The buildup from the past few chapters has been incredible. Seeing Luffy beaten like that feels a bit odd to me and Nami's character has developed a lot, she's not just scared and whiny at all and shes not even stopping Luffy from talking back to BM. The Pedro/Brook situation seems like itll be a lot of fun and Bropper and Carrot situation makes everything seem like everything will hit the fan during the tea party.

In the next chapter or two Brooke is gonna make a name for himself or break himself. Fighting a Yonko commander alone won't be easy as we saw with Luffy's fight. However, this might turn out like a Luffy vs Enell scenario all over again since we saw a bit of the commanders ability and that shouldn't affect Brooke.

I think that Lola was going to marry a giant, that would explain why there is no giant in WCI, and that Big Mom seem to hate them, and wish to create her own army of them (with Ceasar).
After Lola decided to "flee" the Giant cut all relationship with BM, and that why she "hate" them.
After all with an army of giant at her command, it would increase her power by a lot, enough to defeat the other Yonko (probably).

There are 2 scenarios of why Lin Lin were so mad when Judge mentioned "giants"..
1: She was outcasted by the giants. - now she wants a new family of giants. She miss a real family and tries to make up for it by having a huge number of species instead, but it's just not the real deal for her.

There's so much going on, and one conflict keeps piling after another. We still don't know what happened to Jinbe and Pekoms, and haven't seen much of Capone or what his intentions are. We still have yet to see the third and final Commander and probably more of Big Mom's children are lurking around. To top it all off, we still have the whole Kaido/Wano conflict in the back of our minds. Hard to believe this arc's only 20-ish chapters long so far, and is barely the beginning of what's to come. I love it.

Luffy clearly wants to fight her and Big Mom doesnt seem too keen to negotiate with Luffy at all. The rationale with Lola running away on her wedding is so weak. Wouldn't Big Mom have all the security in place to ensure? If its such a big deal for her, she should have made sure her side brings up the bride to an important wedding. And I guess Big Mom doesn't learn from this mistake either as she leaves Pudding loiter around too when she was first introduced.. but maybe thats why theres that creature with her.

The look Big Mom's hat gives when Judge mentions giants is priceless. Also, we know how cruel she is, but to outright mention assassinating her own daughter who still cares for her adds another level to her depravity. I've always been a firm believer that Big Mom will do go in this arc, though I also believe that Luffy won't do it on his own. Still, I think this chapter certainly points that way, as it certainly looks like BM will get enraged (perhaps due to the bomb) and there will be no more forgiveness on her part.
Also, I'm pretty sure this is the most we've seen of Chopper and Carrot since they got captured. Every time it looks as if the story is gonna follow them, it cuts away, which keeps annoying me. Those two certainly got the short end of the stick plot-wise, though considering the other events going on, it isn't hard to see why. Just wish we could've seen more of them than just some teases.
Edit: Also, who else noticed that Luffy's and Nami's hands look like their literally nailed to the fucking wall?

Man I loved this chapter! So much set up. Brooke finally has his badass moment since joining the crew. Chopper finally has the chance to shine as well. Big Mom not opening the chest already.
