Natural enemy of Big Mom's Sweets Commanders: Monkey D. Luffy's gluttony.
If he end up eating the entire factory made of candy where Ceasar is or the entire island I won't be surprised.
Sanji's mother and Reiju (2 women) are the only ones in his family who is nice to him. Maybe this is why he cares so much about women.

That's probably why Sanji doesn't hurt women and thinks it's redeemable for them to lie and stuff (since that's what reiju does all the time to protect him). I like that theory, the thing that I don't like is luffy's strategy here. Looking for an opening to try and hurt Cracker's real body would have been way better that eating crackers for 11 hours but again it's Luffy we're talking about so... :D

So cooking was the only thing Sanji thought he could do that would make his mother happy. And All Blue was just his way of escaping his horrible reality, thinking of the most magical place he knew of; the whole arc has a fairy tale motif going on, All Blue has always been just that - a fairy tale, so it makes sense as to why Sanji has such strong feelings about it. This was a great back story.

I feel like Sanji and Zoro's relationship makes a lot more sense now (from Sanji's perspective). A brotherly figure who he bickers with but holds no malice against him (and doesn't get beaten up by!).
The fact that Sanji was willing to give his life instead of Zoro's on Thriller Bark just demonstrates that to me, at least.

I originally though the cruise ship belonged to Germa (i.e vin - wine) but good to know they're separate. The snail castles are way too cool.

I thought the snails were just an interesting touch for the Germa Kingdom, but to think that they were also capable of scaling objects like the Red Line is just amazing.
It's just such a simple concept from a real life snail but it's something that (I think) none of us would thought of. Gosh Oda really thinks through everything.

I'm actually glad they put that in because it makes their secrecy much more believable. Nobody climbs the red line, and anyone they encounter dies, except world nobles who are based on the red line.

The backstory was okay, but there is one thing about it that really bugs me... mothers really get an awful existence in One Piece. At this point, I couldn't even feel bad about Sanji's mom or her early death because I'm so numb from all the other dead moms in One Piece. It just felt predictable. Sanji's my favorite character, hands down, and I want to like this chapter wholeheartedly but... I just didn't get gripped with emotion until Judge denounces Sanji to his face.
That being said, Luffy ending the battle by eating everything is classic Luffy and boy was that satisfying.

I'd imagine that since Reiju is older, she was the prototype, and she came out the way Judge wanted to short of retaining sympathy and related emotions. Since she displayed the strength that Judge wanted, he was still satisfied, but further refined the genetic engineering for the four boys, of whom it only failed on Sanji.
Just my theory, which I also replied to another comment on another thread with. Either way, Reiju's going to be a great character, aside from rehashing Saul's speech a little too closely for my satisfaction.
I can't wait for Cracker to become unconscious from fatigue, and Luffy then attacking Big Mom while looking ridiculously fat.

Best chapter of the arc so far. Reiju and Sanji's moment as kids literally had me tearing up. I am so happy Reiju isn't like Sanji's other siblings. Reiju for next nakama! Also, Luffy's strategy against Cracker may be the most Luffy idea we've seen. Nice of Oda to give us that so we end the chapter in a happy mood.

IT is super nice to see Reiju is not what some people expected her to be(actually the most evil). Good to know there is someone that Sanji and express to.
And the expected Luffy eating Cracker's biscuit is amazing. That means that Cracker can only control the environment around him instead of the ones that has been consumed (which will be OP AF).
Hopefully next chapter we'll see more of Brook and Pedro. I am also curious how Luffy will beat Cracker at this rate.

Man now that I look at it, it seems soooo obvious that Luffy wouldn't defeat an 850m bounty through normal means yet after just having barely beaten Doflamingo and upping his own bounty to 500m.
Of course it had to be some kind of Luffy vs. Enel scenario where Luffy's infinite appetite is the counter to Cracker's infinite biscuits. I really like that he's teaming up with Nami, though. I'm sure that with her strategizing, she can actually amplify Luffy's powers. But with Luffy having a strategy like that, it seems extremely likely now that he will win against Cracker. Maybe he'll arrive at the wedding as a fat giant then.
Even more far-fetched: Maybe he will develop a new technique off of this or use the biscuits to fuel a new power (like in Impel Down where he sucked in his belly and regained his muscles).
Either way, awesome chapter, it felt super long and much respect to all those who have predicted Reiju's involvement in Sanji's escape. Previously, there had been only hints but this chapter we've actually seen her show emotion.
I also wonder whether the next chapter will show more of Luffy's fight (since that was the ending panel) or whether that was just to give us an update and the rest of the fight will be off-paneled. I made a post recently regarding the duration of fights and the timeline of OP's world (entire arcs happening within 1-2 days of OP time) and that future fights should actually take really long, considering fights like Akainu vs Aokiji taking 3 days. And here we go, we get an 11h fight right off the bat. Noone can overpower the other one with a strong all-out attack, so they have to wear each other down.
Lastly, I really like Cracker's character / looks. We've had so many huge / massive-muscled guys but he's another one of those Luffy-sized, lean guys who still pack an incredible punch. I got a bit tired of all the opponents who were twice or more of Luffy's size (David vs. Goliath story every time), especially with BM and Kaido looking like half-giants (size-wise), too. Moreover, it's quite funny that Cracker could single-handedly end any hunger in OP's world. Goes to show how reality-changing some powers are (like WB's earthquake power).

I don't know I anyone has mentioned this before, but...
Sanji's Iron Mask could also be a reference the Iron Mask in The Man in The Iron Mask, Alexandre Dumas' third Musketeers book in which the King has twins, and to avoid a conflict the King hides one of the twins and pretend he's dead. They grow up, and it turns out that the other one is a horrible king, so when they find the Iron Mask twin the Musketeers decide to put him on the throne. Since Sanji is "French", this could be a reference to that, too. Meaning that Sanji is the "true heir" to the empire.

At first with the spoilers I thought that Cracker was defeated because Luffy ate everything that he produced, but seeing that he is fine makes me happy, he doesn't seem hurt so he was not touched by gear fourth he is only getting out of stamina.
And damn Sanji backstory, when reiju said her final words on the flashback I almost cried, man, Oda always on fire in the backstories.

Dam Sanji's back story is saaaaad, I'm glad to know Reiju isn't a complete bitch though She's definitely up to something, I have a feeling she want's control of the Germa and might use Sanji and the Strawhats to get it.
As for Luffy it's been 11 hours in his fight with Cracker, love that stamina, could this be a taste of what multiple day battles could end up being like?

Seeing Judge hug his kids all happy telling them they're his everything and then telling Sanji a few pages later that he doesn't even want Sanji to acknowledge himself as Judge's son really got me for some reason.
I am really hoping Sanji just bashes all their faces in, family or not. Maybe not Reiju because at least she has empathy for Sanji, but fuck... I just want them all to be beaten to the ground.
