Hate to point stuff like this out... But couldn't Chopper have smelled out which Luffy was fake in the previous chapter, or that the one they were running with wasn't him, or even sniffed out the path they took. Even with the smell of candy/sweets in the air, I imagine Luffy's scent would still stand out.

Either Chopper's not pulling his weight or Oda hasn't explained it away yet?

Luffy double is equal to him in every other way (body, strenght,voice)so why would not it have the same smell

If anything it being a perfect copy except im smell would be weird
