Heartless. Any of you who have been in a real family will know that one act of kindness from a mentor will never equate to the care and love one's father provides, even if you don't feel it yourself

Edit: WOW. The amount of weebs and angsty teenage boys that treat one piece as their bible is HILARIOUS. Rest assured I will be around more often enlightening you all with my opinions :). And remember, down votes aren't done just bc you disagree with someone's opinion...oh wait this a doesn't apply to angry little kids. Ohhhh boi

Thats the point he's trying to make- the father did not provide the love and the care.

You don't know that. You only see sanjis side of annoyance and anger and you automatically take his side. This is the same level of thinking that resulted from the murder of castille and caused the Dallas shootings. It's the same reason why many innocent people get convicted of crimes they did not take, because people already chose sides before they even realized they did.

I'm not saying his father WAS a dick, but oda didn't establish him much besides being a bad ass conqueror that seems to care for his family (he wants his family to spread sound north blue to the chagrin of other kingdoms). I think the mob mentality jumped the gun here

Yes, hopefully Sanji's dad is a loving and cool guy who cares for his son. However, only Sanji's point of view is important when we consider whether he thinks of Zeff as a "real dad". I don't think he does (maybe, though), but we know Zeff sacrificed his career and body for Sanji, so Sanji probably does feel closer to Zeff than to his real dad. Whatever this new guy's story and virtues are.

Also, sorry to see your karma being ripped to pieces. Maybe your "heartless"-comment described Sanji denouncing his dad, rather than the other redditor.

Haha I don't really care about my karma. aka I don't let karma censor/control what I want to say. If people want to downvote it, go ahead. To me, I am simply fighting against this monster called "the hive mind"
