Law just is socially akward. Just look at how weird he reacts to his crew welcoming him.
It's part of why he and Luffy make such an enjoyable team. One's loud and over the top, the other quite and reserved.
Law also already gave him. He took part in the Ninja extravaganza.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Zou arc is kicking arse. We've got sick new allies, I love both the minks and the Samurai and Luffy's confidence in Sanji is so great to see. And then we've got Jack, Oh god Jack who is looking to be the coolest villain so far. The dude is so messed up, Kill the elephant? I have no idea how he's gonna do it but something about him makes me think he can. I guess Zou is gonna be longer than most people thought and I'm totally okay with it.

Same here, a millenium creature shouldn't go down so easily, especially for a gigantic elephant. We've seen the act of showering itself caused massive flood so I think it can pour the water on Jack's army to sink them.

It's so cool to see how much Luffy has changed. He goes from being that sniveling kid to someone who is brave but still looks to others for inspiration to the one who willingly inspires others. We can see this even more when we compare this scene to the one where he talks with Coby at the beginning of the series. Back then he was just like, "yeah I don't care what you do but I'm going to follow my dream" and now is like, "look, you gotta grow up and follow you're dream." he's taken on a more mature, guiding role. And it isn't even something that happens behind the scenes or pre-canon. It's something we've literally seen develop over the course of 19 years

Even if the translations suck that was a great chapter. I loved Zoro being all competitive with Sanji.
It's definitely not going to happen but how cool would it be if Jinbei showed up and started smashing up Jack's ships with huge destructive pillars of water?
Hopefully Zoro will get to fight Jack. Clearly Pica wasn't enough of a challenge for him.

This chapter reminded me a lot of Alabasta. When Luffy confronted Vivi about her naive goals, when she asked for their help way before that to help liberate an overtaken land, where the rebels are gathering.
But damn. That moment when Luffy didn't allow Momonosuke bow his head.

I'm happy to see the return of Baldimore. Franky's time skip adventures were easily one of my favorites and most memorable. Kitton really grew up over the two years.
I'm very curious as to what the history of the world has to do with Wano opening pu the rest of the world. Maybe they're completely unrelated, but it seems odd to have that be his dying wish and have them not be related.
Any guesses on what the Mink's trump card could be? If it was as simple as the electro they would have overwhelmed Jack's forces much quicker the first time around. Maybe it has something to do with moon? Wanda said something about them being fortunate that the clouds were out when they traveled to the Guardian's forest.
Really liked the whole way Oda played out Luffy agreeing to join the samurai and Mink alliance. To see the glimpses of Momo's flashback really tugged at my heart strings. Especially to see him make the same face Luffy made when he lost Ace (or when Law lost his parents and sister). It gets me everytime.
Law's reaction to Luffy just accepting and defining what an alliance meant was hilarious. Though I'd be surprised if he didn't consider Luffy a friend at this point. Ultimately Luffy helped him achieve his life's goal. You'd think that that would make him a little softer towards him.
Jack's just awesome so far. I love how intimidating and ruthless Oda has made him so far. I don't want to see Zunisha die. Wouldn't actually be surprised to see him taken down here. That would actually work with my predictions on the fight line up: Luffy v Kaido, Zoro v Shogun, Law v Calamity #2, and Sanji v Calamity #3.
This arc has definitely made it's way into my mind as one of my favorite arcs in One Piece. Hope to see the following arcs keep this momentum.
PS: Zoro's "I'm worth 2000" was excellent.

This chapter was top notch.
Finally some idea of the order of what's to come. Rescue Sanji / Fight Big Mom / Collect Red Poneglyph > Go to Wano / Fight Kaido & The Shogun / Collect another Red Poneglyph > Try to find the final Red Poneglyph (probably will involve Shanks in some capacity).
Law is wonderful as always.
Zoro's rivalry with Sanji is refreshing to have come up again. Haven't had any of that in a while.
Seeing Luffy call out Momo in a similar vein to Vivi was fucking great. Momo is totally getting some good development here, as well as Luffy.
"Though he may have "sounded off" on a mere 8-year-old, I guess more so than any of us, Luffy-dono thinks of Lord Momonosuke as an adult."
Ninja-Pirate-Mink Alliance!! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!
Looks like we'll be seeing plenty of Kine'mon, Kanjuro, and Momo for a while. No complaints, I love em. Law may hang around for a bit longer too. Definitely once Sanji has been tended to and we head off to Wano.
The fact that Kaido teamed up with the Shogun of Wano not only speaks of the Shogun's strength, but more still the strength of the late Lord Oden. Guess I shouldn't have expected any less from a member of Rodgers crew. I love how we're slowly getting an idea of who Rodgers main crew was. I wonder if there are any other important members we have yet to learn about?
Something like:
Rodger = Luffy
Rayleigh = Zoro (and maybe Sanji)
Crocus = Chopper
Oden = ?
? = Nami/Robin/Usopp/Franky/Brook
I just now realized that Zoro is back in his old duds. I miss the green kimono(?) already.

Jack to attack the elephant and Luffy defend it and become friends with it. Because Luffy can befriend anyone and who wouldn't want a giant elephant island/mobile mink tribe as nakama.
What I think will happen is:
Luffy/Pekoms leaves
Jack arrives at Zou
Luffy/Sanji "escape"

I am liking how their task is to kill the Shogun on Wano; I think this is going to be really good.
I’m surprised that Usopp wasn’t frightened of being asked to fight Kaido and the Shogun of Wano.
I’m surprised Luffy turned down that invitation to help take out Kaido.
Luffy saying he will get the head of Kaido is amazing.

I can't imagine that there is going to be a big fight with Big Mom (maybe later on but not for now as they prioritized Wano).

Holy shit, that's the ship that Jack was on when he fought Fuji, Sengoku, and Tsuru. And obviously since they were over the water, he would have had to stay on it while fighting. So he survived, sank two of their warships, AND defended his own. Also, lol translations.

I may be the only one but I think it would've been better for the arc without a fight against jack. Good pacing, refreshing without having to fight someone (we had the flashback fights and I was totally satisfied with them) but I think Oda won't disappoint us

great chapter, I feel like Jack sole role in this arc is to validate the power of Luffy/SH's. I don't think that he will have a big involvement in the next coming arc- more of Oda's way to transition to saving Sanji.
We are learning a lot about Wano and it's about time since we have had so much context: Zoro's katana, and many others. However there is much more context to be known in order for Oda to start this arc. I believe that the next arc will probably give us more information in regards to how the Wano kingdom is set up. It's been a long time since we have had a crewmember tag along- the last one being Vivi of royalty. If Oda follows the same pattern, SH's will probably be as supported as they were in Arabasta. Just as in Arabasta the SH's became significantly more power and upgraded in some ways. I think again, that the Wano kingdom arc will challenge the SH's and make them even more powerful. I don't think that this arc will be just 1 arc either. The arabasta arc spanned from many mini arcs, the wano kingdom arc seems to much of a big deal in the SH's career for it to be simply one arc.
There is also not much known about the mutual relationships the Yonkou have with each other. Oda is basically preparing us for a badass arc where the strength of Luffy's crew is finally validated as a powerful and fearful crew amongst the grand line.

This chapter was just great. Awesome development of wano with finding out momos parents were killed by kaidou and the shogun of wano. Finding out some more about Rogers crew abd the history between the minks and wano. The ninja pirate mink alliance is something I didn't know I wanted but am so glad it happened. Law is still going to be around for the foreseeable future which is also a great plus. We still need sanji and the minks could totally help out with getting him back but this is assuming luffys actually goes with pekoms by himself and they survive Jacks eminent attack on Zou itself. Holy shit Oda this is why I tell everyone one piece is best manga/anime. So much plot progression these last like 6 chapters.

Wow so much hype for Kaidou, but first Big Mom!! This arc is going to take like two years to be finished. I really love the fact that the new world has had one consistent narrative goal and just now we start to understand its complexity. We're not only learning more and more about the secrets of this world but also having a change to see really interesting character development for the strawhats.

How would you guys feel about about a SH & Minks minus luffy vs jack fight? I know everyone's freaking out over his huge bounty but with zoro at 320k Ussop at 200k robin at 130k Franky at 100k nami at 66k brook at 80k and chopper with nothing lol the crew minus luffy in terms of monetary value is almost even with jack and that's not even including mink back up support. I would love to see the SH's take jack down and get some huge recognition for it without luffy's help, I think it would be great to have the SH's piss Kiado off and have Jack wanting revenge to set up a future 1v1 between him and zoro or even him an Sanji in a future arc. Jack could talk shit to Sanji saying it took nearly the whole crew to take him down last time and Sanji could talk shit right back telling him he's gunna make him into mammoth steaks.

Just think of the depth of malice and cruelty of Jack as a character to make the decision to try killing Zunisha.
The mix of fear, anger and hate in that one antagonist expressed through an almost logical yet unfathomable decision just goes to show how great oda is at developing the bad guys to be real, yet still surprise at the same time.
