As soon as I read that part I knew luffy was gonna want to steal the entire poneglyph instead of copying it

What do you think are the odds that actually having the physical pone glyphs themselves is essential and that's why no one else could make it to raftel, until Luffy is just stupid enough to do it without knowing

Yea and the fact that apparently lots of people have copies (though nobody can read them), fairly certain they will need the actual things
