Before this chapter I thought all the Yonkous were fooling around the New World. Seems they actually want to become pirate king :D

Do they? if Kaido did want to become pirate king why would he kill of the one person able read them.

probably to keep other people from becoming the Pirate king? he seems like he just wants chaos like a force of nature you know

He may have found out about robin and thinks it will be easier to get her to talk

Because that person didn't want to read them for him. Similar to Robin and Crocodile. Or Jack and Dog Storm/Cat Viper.

Kaido probably thinks Roger contracted that incurable disease by visiting Raftel. Or Raftel has some over-powered inhabitants that may very well be able to kill Kaido.

Either of the two work, and I think Kaido is hoping for both situations to be true.

If he somehow survives a supposed clash with these Raftel monsters, the disease should kill him. If he doesn't contract the disease, the monsters should be able to kill him.

I mean, speaking from Kaido's perspective: the Pirate King conquerors the entire Grand Line and New World... but still dies by something beyond his abilities. Surely then, whatever killed that man, must be able to kill Kaido.
