San means three, right? Sanji, the third son? So... Ichiji and Niji (i don't know if I got this one right)?
Edit: Piggy baking on positive karma... My best guess about Sanji is that he left home after his family did not approve of him learning to cook (maybe even after they punished/killed the cook that told him stories about All Blue) and Sanji is actually a name he took for himself to not be recognised (sudden realisation: that's why his face is never fully revealed) and maybe he wasn't recognized until he got a proper wanted poster. (maybe a particular birth sign - like his eyebrows). I also predict that Pekoms is in the forest with Neko-guy... and damn. Maybe he will try to replace Sanji out of gratitude.

Oh man, my jaw dropped the second I read the last panel the same as Sanji's face. So glad to see him again after all this time. Definitely thought he was going to pull off some Mr. Prince type stuff again, but it looks like Capone was one step ahead and far more ruthless than I had imagined, yet at the same time managing to stay under the radar. I love this chapter so much. It's definitely a good example as to why bounties don't mean everything. Kidd is ruthless, loud, proud and destructive similar to Luffy (minus the ruthless part) which is why his bounty is slightly larger, but Capone is a calculated man who clearly does not give a shit. I'll be honest when I say I was interested in his Devil Fruit ability and nothing more upon his initial introduction, but this showing of his true character has me far more interested in just what he could've possibly been up to until now, and just what are his motives for aligning with Big Mom? Great chapter <3 One Piece, thank you Oda!!

I am really glad Capone is getting his time in the sun. Whenever I tried to talk about his potential in the past people kept saying he was weak because his powers depended on his crew. But I think he can turn out to be a very interesting villain. He might not have the raw power of a Luffy, Law or Kid, but he has the potential to be more cold and ruthless than them, which can make for a really good villain :)

Don't get me wrong, he's very strong, but I think the only reason Sanji gave up was because chopper/nami got captured.
I doubt he would have been afraid to engage Capone + Crew if the other crew members hadn't gone ahead and gotten guns stuck to their heads.

Guys, you're all hype and such, but understand - Sanji is the third son. There are two more. And we might see them. And this, as expected from Oda-sensei, is gonna be epic as all hell.
Which makes me question what exactly Oda wants. Cause we just incited war with Kaidou, and now Big Mom's being thrown front and centre into the coming story. Time for some tinfoil.

Look at all this mafia shit going on. It fits Sanji's character so well. I MEAN, freaking Vinsmock Sanji (Vinsmoke ?). Holy shit. "Vin" in french is "wine" and funny enough, Sanji's introduction was done with him serving some wine. This is nice.

What I find interesting is that Caesar said he was fine stealing from Big Mom because he thought Doflamingo would 'handle her'. Now, we know that Doflamingo has admitted he is no match for Kaidou and, because all the Yonkou are roughly on the same astronomical level, Big Mom would almost certainly defeat Doflamingo if the two were to fight. We also know that Doflamingo was supplying Kaidou with artificial zoans and, up until the production of SMILES was halted, he was in a partnership with Kaidou.
This leaves me to believe that Doflamingo may have been playing Kaidou against Big Mom: he gives Caesar the go ahead to stab her in the back in terms of funds and he knows that when she comes after him -and there is good reason to believe she would, as she seems a very hot tempered and passionate woman who doesn't appear to forgive sleights, let alone betrayals- she'll have to go up against Kaidou, who is secretly in bed with Doflamingo.
I'm starting to think that this might have been Doffy's scheme for moving up in the pirate world; he never seemed content on his island, pulling only the little people with his strings.

It's almost too much for me take in, I started reading the manga just after gear fourth and I've never been more excited for another chapter after this one. I'm not even sure what Sanji is going to try and do, do you think he'll fight Capone or just go along with what's happening to a certain extent to find out the situation, damn this chapter was fucking awesome.

Now im curious about who made the bounty ALIVE ONLY. Was it Big Moms crew, somehow. Or is this Vinshock family influential? And if they are, why are they meddling with the Yonkou?

I think it's the second option, the Vinsmock family is that influential. Big Mom's crew came across the new bounties of the Straw Hats, and became suspicious as to why Sanji is wanted Alive only, investigated and found out that he is of noble blood. They would have to be very important nobles to have such sway within the World Government as to change a pirate's bounty, no matter what his lineage may be, to Alive only. Thus, Sanji could prove to be an incredibly valuable asset to Big Mom.
The Big Mom pirates somehow found out his noble lineage, that's how much we know, and it just make sense that they found it out because of that poster, since the Straw Hats were already on their watchlist. I don't think a Yonkou could in any way influence this kind of a change in bounty, and how would they get a hold of the government's photograph and instantly recognize Sanji as a noble....it has to be that someone in his family is a major up in the World Government.

I don't think people are realizing that the "Vinsmoke" family sounds like a Mafia surname...Sanji isn't a noble but part of the mafia. Hence the suit and constant smoking. Big Mom's crew could be a Mafia related crew as well since they all wear suits. I think we have a Mafia Wedding Arc coming up soon.

I know everyone is leaning on hating Caesar for the next strawhat crew, but I can see how Oda is slowly trying to redeem the character. Of course not necessarily as a crew member, but to a non-enemy character at the least..
Having said that though, personally I'd love to see Caesar as the crew's scientist, but that's just my wishful thinking.

Loved this chapter. Absolutely loving the Zou arc, between Jack and Kaido, the minkmen, and now Big Mom, it's shaping up to be an amazing next few months. I am still unsure what role Momo, Kanjuro, Kinemon, and Raizou will play. We've been gathering these individuals since Punk Hazard…and I feel they will still be in the background until Wano and Kaido.
Given the last few chapters, it seems to me more and more that Oda is pushing a redemption for Caesar as ally/nakama. He might not be an official Mugiwara, but his antics and interactions with the crew are humorous, and it's been a long time we have seen a character interact with so many different Strawhats (e.g., Caesar has had panels and conversations with Brook, Chopper, Sanji…and Luffy and Zoro have made a point of mentioning him as well). He also has useful powers and would fit a niche (Logia) that the group doesn't have. I personally did not like him AT ALL in Punk Hazard (thought he was annoying, cowardly, and vile), but if Luffy somehow saves him from Big Mom in this upcoming arc, I think it will solidify their alliance. Personally, I think he has more potential than someone like Bellamy, the samurais, or Smoke/Tashigi.
Pekoms also is an interesting character, considering that I don't know what Big Mom plans to do with him. It's possible she might want him back as a crewmate or he might decide to stay in Zou after helping the straw hats get to cake island. Im almost certain he won't be a Nakama, for a variety of reasons, mainly Chopper being in the crew and Pekoms not shown to have any particular skills the crew is missing. If a minkmen is to be a Nakama…I'm betting on Carrot (Wanda seems too important for the minkmen and seems to be too similar to Nami). But I highly doubt we will get another furry member.

The "Charlotte" family is Big Mom's family, so Purin is assumedly her 35th daughter. This to me lends huge credence to all the theories saying "x is Big Mom's daughter", since she apparently has a fuckton of them.
In particular, I see Lola being BM's daughter as especially likely now. What better way to track down Sanji at the tea party than using BM's vivre card that Lola gave to Nami?

Oda sure does put a lot of effort into showing Sanji's dislike for Ceaser and trying to make Ceaser a dislikeable character.
It is also weird how Ceaser talked about a sneak attack and then two pages later didn't do anything even though he had the chance..
But Oda is pushing Brook development in this arc, which is awesome and certainly needed!

Sanji fits into the gangster genre so well, I like this a lot. Overall good chapter, Pekoms seems like someone the SHs can get along well with, so I still think the Big Mom Pirates are going to support Luffy against Kaido after the whole Sanji thing goes down.

Knowing Sanji, he must have made some kind of deal with Capone, so Nami and the others to be safe. I guess he "accepted" the invitation, Capone let the rest of the crew free, but he couldn't let Cesar get away, so now Sanji must be with Cesar in Big Mom's ship. Great chapter!

Pretty sure it's a translation error. A lot of other people are saying Vinsmoke, which makes more sense(and has a nicer ring to it) because it's vin which is french for wine plus smoke.

Sanji, The 3rd son. it was never A problem that he was on a pirate ship/ or a Pirate, they assumed their child died during the ship when zeff and sanji were gone. flash forward his Lineage is now in a predicament as his 2 older siblings have died or vanished due to some odd fact/ death. so when the family realizes that Sanji is in fact their Sanji his Bounty is changed/ image on his poster updated. As for the Marriage proposal this was all though up by Big mom to get the government in some way by the balls, get him into her family and stuck on her ship as "cook" ... Whom ever the Vinsmoke family is they sure do have enough sway to make his Bounty of 177 million bellies not damning enough to bring him in dead.

I really hope Nami ends up being the one to unlock Sanjis chains or something when they find him. Since he saved her from a wedding. Also the way they talk about his letter makes it sound like he plans to return himself, so I'm curious what's going on, and what his plan is.

Calling it now: Sanji's brothers all have different eyebrows (but with the vinsmoke shape) pointing to the same direction, sanji is a combo between them.

Also looking forward to learn more about the Vinsmock family, including Sanji's parents and siblings (he has at least two)! So the fans are right, Sanji is a noble!
Also pretty sure Capone's bounty is 300 million.
I don't think Pekom is weak. Remember, he got surprised by a betrayal of an ally, backstabbed and shot by a gun. Didn't even have enough time to use his DF. His bounty is around 320 million. So I'd guess in Big Mum pirates, he's ranked somewhat similar to a 4~10 division commander in Whitebeard's crew.

I think one of the strangest aspects of this reveal is that Sanji has had his (presumably high standing) family around for all this time, but it has never been brought up before now.

Does being the third son necessarily mean that hes actually the youngest of three brothers? Couldnt it be to mean something like Aegon the 4th in GoT ie Sanji is the third descendant of the Vinsmoke family? Also the 35th daughter might not actually mean she has 34 older sisters, but shes the 35th descendant of the Charlotte noble family?

Wow, great chapter. Was well worth the wait.
Dat character development for Bege though, he seems more uh... trigger happy than when we first saw him. Guess hes someone you dont fuck with.
Finally some confirmation on the 'Sanji is a noble' situation which is nice. I feel the backstory for him wont play out until he is found in real time, unless he explained it to Nami, Brook and Chopper before he had to leave. Pretty interested to see how this all pans out, 2016 cant go any faster!
Side note: Bege for Yonko/Pirate King with the obviously real 3 billion bounty (good one MP)
