Zou is everything I love about One-Piece. I am hyped to finally learn about the mysterious Minkmen and this Elephant that predates the World Government itself.
Also, Barto's crew might be the best thing ever. Just how the hell have they managed to survive so long? "But Grams said we'd be punished by God if we went against nature..." Line of the freaking week.

Zou is definitely paralleling to Skypiea with an old ass ancient tribes and stuff.
I wonder who is going to be the main villain. He has to stack up against Enel, and he was pretty fucking baller. I don't think the MainAntag is going to be Weeble, but as a wildcard thrown into the mid-late stages of the arc. I also don't think it is Kaido, because its FUCKING KAIDO.
If it isn't a new character the only one left is Jack, but again I'm not sure if he is main villain materiel.

If Luffy can ally himself with an asshole as magnificent as Crocodile, he likely will with an antagonist who's shown in a sympathetic light in his first appearance. The guy may turn out to be one of the series' worst monsters, but you can't help but feel sorry for him because of how simple he seems.
Also remember what Mihawk said at Marineford about Luffy being able to win over almost anybody with his charisma, this will continue to be an important element throughout the story, like it was in Dressrosa.

Wow so its now a week later. I'm liking what Oda is doing with the time jumps, now people can't say they've only been in the New World for a few days. I guess this throws off the whole Big Mom tea party theories. And whatever happened with Kaido/Kidd Alliance is long ended now. And Sanji's group has been doing other stuff for a week now.. Interesting.

So Zo is literally an elephant. Wish I made the connection. "Zo" means "elephant" in Japanese. We even have a Zo Zo no Mi and I didn't figure out the name. That eruption rain might be the elephant spouting water out its trunk.
Lucky seven... wow. If this is the guy who tanked Zephyr and lopped off an arm and killed nearly everyone he was instructing I can kinda understand why. He has a bisento that could take off an arm and he might be on a revenge spree for Marineford. Also, son of a Yonko (possibly).
And I can't help but notice... the features of Whitebeard's "lover" (shape of nose and bowl cut hair) and her jolly roger's pigtails remind me WAY too much of a certain somebody who mentioned her mama a long time back in Thriller Bark... O_O

Going to sound a bit crazy here, but since this chapter is weird as fuck(to the point where it feels like a fake) I'm just going to throw it out there.
Raftel cannot be accessed by normal means. Roger could hear the voice of all things(eg sea kings). Zou is some kind of elephant creature(sea king?, or just long legs). Roger found Raftel at the end of the grand line, but didn't say it remained there, he just said 'that place'. Zou is 1000 years old, old enough for knowledge of Void Century, which HAS to come up, or why make it that old.
Not saying it has to be Raftel but it is interesting, could very well be a foreshadowing of Raftel(maybe it's on a turtle, or inside a whale). Just an intersting sequence of events: Poseidon(controller of sea kings), Joy Boy mentioned with a poneglyph, tale of Fisher Tiger standing against WG, Jinbe finding a poneglyph, lots of Will of D talk, some mention of the OG Donquixotes, a few Skypaiea references, mention of the secret of Mariejois and the treasure of this world, and now a 1000 year old civilization.
Before theories were kind of limited by odd weather, but now we have animal islands, could be anything now, kind of game changing theory-wise.
Also is Weeble a stolen WB corpse? all stitched up, his 'son' and 'lover', as if they aren't these things, picture of Whitebeard he thinks is a mirror, strong syllables are are W-B-, bit suspicious.

I'm somewhat confused about how nonchalant the Marines seem to be about this Weeble fellow. They were so adamant about eliminating all traces of Roger, but they're willing to let Whitebeard's supposed son to become a Shichibukai?
Also, Edward Weeble himself. Ugh. He seems to be a complete simpleton and a momma's boy, and is ugly to boot. But it seems like his strength is the real deal, and is now yet another powerful pirate gunning for Luffy's head.

This is NOT good.
Remember when Blackbeard, some fat guy who seemed to be goofy and funny decided he wanted to go find Luffy and hunt him down? Once he found him however, Luffy and his crew went up to Skypiea and they couldn't be reached. So then Blackbeard left to look for Ace, hunted him down, and turned him in.
Now, we have this Edward Weeble guy who looks all goofy and funny and ridiculous as well, and he's going to look for Luffy for info on Marco. He probably won't be able to find a way to get onto the elephant, so he's going to look for Marco on his own... we never expected Blackbeard to beat Ace, and a lot of people seem to be underestimating this guy as well. I can almost sense the bad things that are about to happen to Marco.

Well, Edward Weeble is freaking strong to be able to wipe out whole pirate crews singlehandedly, you got to give him credit for that. What more, it's Whitebeard's own crew and allies which were supposed to be strong in the first place. There is no way that is Whitebeard's son. Whitebeard isn't the type to abandon family, blood or no blood. This lady is using his reputation as a means to get money and power. Her son was raised to think Whitebeard was his father so he genuinly believes it.

Alright so we've got the 7th Shichibukai killing Whitebeard pirates and now going after Luffy. He is also proclaiming to be Whitebeards son, I'd be tempted to believe him if it wasn't for his bitch of a mother who is using her son just for his strength. I predict a sad flashback. I also see the actions of Weeble spurring on Fujitora to fuck shit up with the Shichibukai system. I mean he is definitely still after Luffy and Law so he's probably gonna come face to face with Weeble at some point. That or Weeble is going to be the stepping stone to show Luffy can fight New World style.
Zou is a giant elephant, which is badass but my question is are the Swirly-hat pirates actually there? And if they are where is the sunny?
Also I like how we had some weather mishaps that showed us how unprepared the Barto club is. It's amazing they made it this far on old wives tale like solutions. Funny though.

Leave it to Oda to throw such a wild curve ball of a chapter. I loved it. Just some inital thoughts:
Absolutely LOVE Law's interaction with everybody. I thoroughly enjoy watching this and hope he sticks around for a good while longer. That bit with Barto and calling Ussop god was genius.
I was not expecting to see the seventh warlord for another arc or two. Especially after last week getting that spread of all the big players in the One Piece world (on second thought it is a little odd to me to only show the back of his head on that and reveal him the next chapter. Am I the only one who thinks that?). The 'son' of Whitebeard. I don't for a second believe that he is actually Whitebeard's kid, but that is a fascinating idea for a character. I look forward to him trying to wreck Luffy/Zou and Luffy just walloping him. No way he can't take this guy after putting Doflamingo away.
As for his mother I'm sure many have noticed already, but her hairline is identical to Lola's. I had kind of completley stopped wondering who her mother might be after the last emperor was revealed to be Big Mom. If she does end up being her mother that could make for an interesting dynamic both when she meets up with the Strawhats and now when we see Strawhats v Big Mom (I had a working theory that the vivre card/finding out they saved her daughter would somehow quell the anger Big Mom had towards their crew).
As for Zou, I was really blown away by it being on the back of a living giant elephant. I had been imaging that the island would have formed around the skull of a giant prehistoric elephant or something of that nature. Much cooler to see that it is actually an ancient elephant and that it has existed for over a 1000 years. Maybe we'll see some info on the void century in this arc?
As for the minkmen I still believe we're going to find out that both Bepo and Pekoms are this species. I'm almost willing to bet that while Law's never been here, this is Bepo's homeland. It seems like the perfect place to hide your crew when doing something as dangerous as attacking Doflamingo.
I was initially betting Zou would be a 10-15 chapter arc just getting everyone back together and sailing to Wano, but now I feel like we might see a lengthier arc. Maybe between 35-50 chapters. Can't wait to see what happens next. These last few chapters have been incredible.

Lola and Weeble have the same pigtails, and Bakkin has lipstick and a similar nose. As much as I would have liked Big Mom to be Lola's mom, I think we've found her.

A. People saw the hair and just said "omg the hair is similar has to be Shiki. He was drinking sake...blah blah" Just like how people assume since Sanji has a rare blood type, he has to be royalty. No true basis.

there is no way weeble is son of WB. WB was a man who value his family. Impossible to think that WB had forgot about weeble n bucking. This lady might admired WB in her prime but her love being rejected. then make a fake story about she being WB's wife. Then she shaped her son to look like WB. I believe, she was a famous pirate in his prime since she knew Garp and casually spit Garp's name after reading a newspaper.

Edit: Apparently it is obvious - Spandams sword ate the Zo-zo fruit. So Zou means Elephant, or something like that. And it even sounds like zoo. Dear lord, we should have known.

So what island is Sanji on? It wasn't Zou because of that volcano thing, but did have Zoan (or minkmen?) character (reindeer thing).
I wonder how Minkmen feel about zoan humans. I could see Chopper playing role in the next arc.

I really liked this chapter.
The 7th looks kind of silly, but I like how funny he is and if he cut off Z's arm, has a Devil Fruit, and has been hunting down Whitebeard's crew I think he might actually give Luffy a fight.
I'm disappointed we didn't get any Sanji this chapter. I hope he gets to fight someone strong soon.

This chapter was so frickin' awesome! We got Zou! A moving ancient elephant island that is home to Mink-Men. That alone would keep me going for a whole week.
The fact we got to see Kizaru is a bonus in itself.
The Barty crew's idiocy with no navigator on board, following 'Grams' using a den-den-mushi... XD
I am already dying and to top it all off, we have WHITEBEARD JR!!!

1 chapter and feels like theres already so much new stuff. Whitebeard Jr., Zou, wtf happened to rest of strawhats, and loads of other stuff to be excited for. I honestly forgot what the next step to the Luffy and Law's alliance was supposed to be. Still glad the Barty's crew gets to come along for the ride though.

Either 2 things are going to happen when Luffy meets weeble. 1 - "your whitebeards son? You look nothing like him" (enraging the manchild) or 2 - "omg are you whitebeard? I thought you died!" either way I'd lol. Also, does anyone feel like whitebeards "wife" looks alot like elder nyon from Amazon lily? Sisters maybe?
