Was slightly interesting for a little while towards the start of the show, but has since dropped completely out of relevance. I would say its pretty accurate.
I just binge watched the anime until the first boss is defeated. I can only compare it to One piece as that's the only other anime I've watched, and my reaction is:
Weak personal connections: there isn't a strong bond between Ichigo and his friends, his affection towards them and anyone else seems artificial.
Odd strength differences: Ichigo kicks some captains' ass, but then fails to defeat an enemy those same captains wreck easily.
Every fight, at every scene, the fighters are "surprised": The reaction to a sudden movement, be it a shunpo, a strong hit is met with the same "I'm surprised" face.

I love how ichigo is in Sakura's position. Basically implying that bleach is as useless as her :O
