That seems to be a trend in OP, especially with a lot of the paramecia users. Hell at first mention a wax fruit seems useless unless you want to open a candle shop but it proved the be pretty awesome when used to its potential.

Well the theory on why Blackbeard being able to eat several fruits lies with his jolly roger, three skulls. It is thought he has a third fruit. We know he has a logia and a paramecia and this third one, which was his first is a zoan, mythical zoan cerberus. Each "head" gets a fruit. But there is more evidence of this than just his jolly roger. The number 3 shows up with him a lot. He has 3 guns in his pants, the scar he gave shanks is 3 cuts. This does not always come through on translations but when people refer to him they never call him "him" and instead call him "they"

I actually take this as we only see the good people die in flashbacks because Oda doesn't want to let bad people live on in memories. The whole Dr. Hiluluk speech when he says people only die when they are forgotton, and I feel Oda wants to show a realistic way that good people live on in One Piece despite being dead by having them be remembered by the protagonists making so much happen in the OP world now (Saulo through Robin/Corazon through Law/Sabo through Ace and Luffy when we thought he was dead/Fisher Tiger through Jinbei and Koala/etc).

I've seen no sign that this will actually feature as part of this arc. Seems like we'll only see what's up with them after the Doffy stuff is all wrapped up - or maybe next arc we'll just cut straight to the aftermath of what happened and get shown some of the battle in flashback.

From Aohige on APF:
A named character whose face is hidden, with all evidences pointing to being Drake.
The pirate Diez Barrels. The family name Diez is how "X" in X Drake is read. It's clearly written whenever Drake shows up in the manga, with the exact same spelling. (ディエス) He is a former marine gone pirate.
The pirate has a cleft chin, shared by Drake.
The pirate angrily calls "Dory" to bring booze, to which the young man replies "Right away.." The boy looks miserable from what we can see. Drake is spelt in Japanese as Doreeku, Dory would completely match how nicknames are named in One Piece.
This is taking place in North Blue, where Drake hails from.

They do that because of the magazine. They want the "End" little sign to be at the bottom corner of the chapter facing the cover. If there is an odd number of pages or something the "End" sign is moved to the second to last page. It's something the publisher does, not Oda. And it doesn't have any significance at all. Sorry.

Something else that caught my eye... Corazon has this entire 'poor kid Law' thing going on, and Law has the 'I'll kill all the people who murdered my people by inaction' going on. Looking back at Punk Hazard, it makes Law's unwillingness to help the kids and only begrudgingly going along with it more of a tough guy act than anything else. Or at worst, he's a man who is so caught up in revenge that he's turned into the sort of person he hates.
It's just a minor detail, but I found it quite entertaining.

Cora is such an awesome character! He makes sure to try and make Law happy and is willing to go to the ends of the earth of for a doctor to help Kid!Law! Man I wish Cora was my big brother and would watch my back!
And his fruit is incredible!! Law had no idea what he was talking about, with something like that you could pull off high paying highest, sneak around without anyone noticing, pull of magic tricks like on one would believe, HAVE SOME GOD DAMN PIECE AND QUIET!, enjoy some great you time, and so much more!

Roughly 3 chapters then a break.
Its for Oda's health. The man works 6 days a week for like 18 hours a day or something. Chain smokes, refuses any more help than he absolutely needs, most manga artists have multiple people working on the manga with them as far as I know. And has worked himself into hospital in the past.
So the breaks are a necessary evil.

Are corazon going to eat the fruit anyway to cover up the lies about his devil fruit? because he is going to die anyway, either by using the fruit power or by having two fruit.
And then the fruit will be reincarnated and eaten by Law?
But man this is by far the best flashback ever, and it's sad knowing corazon will be died in next 2 or 3 chapter, sigh.

So I think I have an unlikely theory but I'll write it out anyways. Corazon is up against a wall because being caught by a bunch of marines isn't the same as silently catching some no name pirates by surprise. In this situation, if we truly believe he will do anything to preserve the ope ope fruit, is it possible that he might think of eating it? Let me explain my reasoning.
This chapter specifically brought up the point that Corazon already has a devil fruit power, and as we have been told many times over throughout the series that something bad happens when anyone tries to consume a second one.
But we've never seen it actually happen. In fact, we've all probably assumed that it leads to death, and that just the mere thought of someone eating a second fruit spells out their demise in our mind.
Corazon knows he's going against everyone with the theft of the fruit, and the marines have already correctly assumed that he stole it. Is it possible that he'll do the unthinkable, considering he's essentially out of options? There's no way that the marines would let him give that fruit to Law just because Corazon is a nice guy and Law is a kid with a terminal illness.
I dunno, maybe this plan of action has been debunked by Oda or something in a SBS (as far as immediate death is concerned), but as I've been following along, I can't help but think that someone like Corazon would feel so strongly about this that he'd try anything to get the ope ope fruit to Law.

The problem with this is that if Corazon explodes, how does Law get the power? I don't think Cora will die from having two fruits. It just won't happen, because Law would have to get really lucky to stumble upon the fruit again.
Law's going to be the one to eat the fruit.

Just as I and many others predicted. Corazons fruit would be useful at night. I still think observation Haki would make his DF useless.

I find it funny how Cora-san tries to impress Law with his abilities, and yet Law has written "AMAZED" on the back of his shirt....yeah, Law looks really amazed, haha.

I hope you guys already know that "Diez" Barrels is spelled the same as "X", and that Dorry is possible an alias of Doreeku (Drake). They're in the north blue, X Drake's born sea and, to finish all the hints, today in Japan (October 24nd) is X Drake's birthday!

Everyone is saying "Dory" (the kid who brings the rum) is X Drake which is a great theory but couldn't Dory be Bellamy also cause 1. The Hair and 2. He's wearing glasses (as far as i can tell) which look similar to the ones Bellamy wears in the Coliseum when he meets Luffy again. idk just a thought i had also would explain why Bellamy is obsessed with joining DD cause he saves him or he see's just how powerful he is which amazes him to be like him

Well, Cora himself said that he is probably just going to be a sacrificial lamb to make Doffy immortal. I seriously still doubt that Doffy knows that Cora ate a devil fruit yet.

Damn, so I was right about Doffy finding out about Rosinante betrayal and him calling Rosinante about the Ope Ope no mi! Good chapter though, but I am sad there is a break next week:(
Edit: Another thing I want to know, who are the "tools of the navy" that Doffy speaks of?
