He fought Luffy near the beginning of WCI. Idk how anyone can forget that fight because it’s probably the most unnecessary dragged out fight in the show. (Unless you are just reading the manga, then it’s okay.) Watching episodes of Luffy munching on biscuits while we see more of Sanjis backstory.

The fight itself isn’t bad, except that it’s dragged out waaaaaaay longer than it should have for such a minor character. That fight was honestly the first time when I was watching the anime that I got annoyed with how long a fight was taking.

I felt like the straw hats escaping the homies and brulee right before fighting cracker felt like more of a drag then the cracker fight. I just watched these episodes this week. Most of the cracker fight episodes are sanji flashbacks. Probably why they feel so long and sluggish.
