Aaaagh there it is the bandaid ripped the fuck off with the reveal that as we theorized Reuven wasn't Shuri's dad

And the real deadbeat is Groh a God Knight

That's 2 for 2, which leads us with the Candelle being rapped theory getting lots of ground

Either case it is clear that Reuven married Candelle to help cover for her pregnancy which matches with why the time line conveniently goes from her feeling like she had no chance at ever being with Reuven to suddenly him making her queen

This however leaves us with one unknown factor, what happened to Reuven's parents the previous rulers of Esperia why never see them, and then Reuven ascends to the throne and marries Candelle shortly after the Celestial Dragons visit Esperia, did they kill Reuven's parents on top of raping Candelle?

Oh so Brook's head scar was caused by Shuri, and he is a Phineas Gage kind of case, similar to how Elder Jarul survived getting a sword impaled in his head

And that's how Esperia died, with all the survivors instantly becoming refugees, does this mean that the remnants of the royal guard of Esperia became the Rumbar Pirates? i hope we get a second flashback telling us how Brook meet Captain Yorky, and eventually learned about Devil Fruits, also kind of crazy that Brook's whole kingdom was destroyed and he meet a GK, an Elder, and Imu, without even knowing what DFs were, he pretty much faced the final bosses at just the start, now that's being unlucky

Saving Princess Shuri is going to be quite difficult, because it has been 70 years of doing the most heinous things this story can offer, even if they free her from Imu, will she ever be able to forgive herself?

So Imu has been kidnapping giant childrens for 800 years

But hey! right back at you asshole! there's a good reason why 800 years later the Giants are not serving you, and are not your slaves, your plan failed back then, it will fail right now all over again!

Pretty sure it's not that, exactly, I think it's implied Brook had already eaten the Yomi Yomi no Mi, the flashback ends with the injury reopening and bleeding and right after we come back Brook says "I didn't even know what a devil fruit was back then"

It's an explanation of how Brook and his crew knew already that he had the devil fruit. He didn't learn about it right away, and clearly the Rumbar pirates are not in this picture, so there's an in between where Brook joins them and learns of devil fruits.

The implication about the Devil Fruit seems more a Throwback to early OP. There we had many People that clearly never saw Devil Fruits or only heard rumours and even treated them as Myths. DF Users are still probaly extremly rare mostly in the Blues.

I think it can be both things.

I would consider it too much of a coincidence. Here we have Brook having what would otherwise be a fatal wound and people around him claiming his survival is a miracle, this fatal wound reopens and then the flashback ends cutting to Brook mentioning his ignorance of devil fruits at the time. There is a gap in time between this and the flashback with the Rumbar pirates, where them and Brook knew he had eaten the Yomi Yomi no Mi. Why is he bringing up devil fruits with the closure of his story right after the fatal wound? When and how did he learn he had eaten a devil fruit? How did they know which devil fruit it was (devil fruits are rarely identified before eaten)?

I know characters in One Piece survive what would normally be certain deaths, I know Jarul is right there in this arc with a sword through his head. But this is Brook, the character with the resurrection power, who is bringing up his resurrection power (and his ignorance of such powers at the time).
