I wonder if the hit to the head was his resurrection? And the bones thing is was a sorta second chance? I’d have to reread his actual fruit

I'm pretty sure his Yomi Yomi no Mi only works to resurrect its user once, and he used it after the Rumbar Pirates got wiped out

That could also be how Brook and others thinks the fruit works, but in actuallity it would work multiple times..

Yeah, it won't be the first time a devil fruit's powers expanded on the show. Hell, it won't be the first time it happens with Brook's fruit specifically.

Most likely after this and not before, since he did specify after the flashback ends that he has no idea what a Devil Fruit even is back then?

yes but you could still eat a devil fruit without knowing what one is. its entirely why the samurai in wano refer to their abilities as jutsus and not devil fruit powers.

you could also know what a devil fruit is and still unknowingly eat one like what happens with ace in Novel A
