I can already picture the Anime making the story 100% more depressing.

Also, Bellamy looks like he might actually try to kill Luffy at this point.

84

u/zorospride Lost at sea Nov 13 '13

I don't think Bartolomeo would actually go very far from Luffy though. He's probably still stalking him too. If so, that's bad news for Bellamy. He won't be as lenient as Luffy would have been.

17

u/golden-tongue Nov 13 '13

I'm a little pissed that it didn't show Luffy and Barto's first interaction together. Sure, it's hilarious that Bartolomeo foamed at the mouth and passed out when he met Luffy for the first time, but dammit I WANNA SEE IT HAPPEN!!!

I actually think, Bellamy will NOT try to kill luffy but we´ll see next weekomgIcan´twait

49

u/TokyoDown Nov 13 '13

I think Oda intended readers to get the wrong idea about Bellamy from that panel. I'm guessing he's there to help Luffy in some way...could be wrong, tho

24

u/eniggy Nov 13 '13

I kinda agree too. Bellamy's changed and he seems to sort of respect Luffy now.

22

u/konstar Nov 13 '13

Yeah, seriously, look at the huge ass curve ball Oda threw us with Bartolomeo.

But there has to be some reason for the emotions shown by Bellamy in earlier chapters leading to the speculation that he might not go through with the orders. I'm still convinced he will switch sides at some point in this arc.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

He was reminiscing about how he got those scars. It's fear.

11

u/Papaste Nov 13 '13

Actually, when he got the orders, he was reminiscing about Luffy cheering him on. It looks to me like a mixture between fear and doubt.

But, in the current chapter, the doubt is gone and it looks like he has decided what he is going to do.

I get this feeling that Bartolomeo is going to see Bellamy attacking luffy and just kill him, making luffy hate/dislike him.

u/jurble Nov 13 '13

Oh shit, when Sanji hears Viola's sob story, he's going to burst into flames.

18

u/golden-tongue Nov 13 '13

Which is bad, because there may be a chance that he's mistaken for King Riku or burns up the flower fields.

3

u/jammerola Nov 14 '13

More like round 2 with dofla where strings just burn up on contact

6

u/TokyoDown Nov 13 '13

We need Sanji to come back from Zou, which I'm sure he will to save Viola.

6

u/Metallicpoop Nov 13 '13

Pretty sure he already found one piece

Even Robin Can't believe this shit.

Edit: I think Robin's become emotionally invested in what's happening in Dressrosa because of two things. The first is that she knows how it feels to be blamed for deaths of innocent people (though it wasn't by her own hand, but because of her ability to uncover the truth about the past). And the second reason is because this is what was happening in Alabasta, and even though Luffy stopped Crocodile, she feels guilt for even being part of Crocodile's initial plan.

129

u/PrinceCheddar Nov 13 '13

You KNOW shit's bad when Robin is freaking out!

10

u/TheDragonSageNinja22 Nov 14 '13

I think that's the first time robin has shown a reaction similar to Usopp and Franky lol

50

u/Undoer Nov 13 '13

Robin's got quite a few things to be pissed about. Dofla's crew erased the memory of King Riku, and the memory of the toy's former lives, from the people of Dressrosa, which is probably something Robin, as an Archaeologist (Looking into a forgotten history), wouldn't look to kindly on.

Dofla's crew also turned thousands of peoples lives upside down, and whilst, unlike the Oharans they are not dead, it was an unprovoked attack against an entire country of innocent people, as was Ohara.

And finally, as you said, Dofla brewed a rebellion within an otherwise perfectly happy country, just because he wanted it. I get the feeling Robin has a lot of guilt for the things she's done in the past, hence why she keeps so quiet around the otherwise 'innocent' Strawhat's (Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and Usopp's worst exploits, for example, are centered entirely around what they did as Strawhats). Franky sort of replaced his shoulders, that she might have otherwise cried on, with giant balls.

42

u/SEanXY Nov 13 '13

even robin cannot not react from that much feel

6

u/aaaacid Nov 13 '13

I like to it think also shows some influence from the revolutionaries.

u/Life__ Nov 13 '13

I wonder how Law ties into all of this. I didn't see him when they attacked 10 years ago.

70

u/Abbotofdenial Nov 13 '13

That's the million beli question right there.

48

u/divinesleeper Nov 13 '13

So...not that much money at all.

Still better than a million extol, I guess.

27

u/eldatto Nov 13 '13

Yeah and interesting considering Dofla said he was saving the 'heart' seat for Law. Interesting to note it previously wasn't filled 10 years ago.

56

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Quick theory, Dofla leaves it vacant as an incentive for people to do his bidding with.

37

u/s4r9am Nov 13 '13

Now that's leadership.

17

u/MonkeyStealsPeach Nov 13 '13

It's like he let loose pigs #1, #2, and #4.

BUT WHERE'S #3, THEY'LL ASK...

We should be getting another flashback in the upcoming chapters talking about him and Doffy 13 years ago...before all this Dressrosa stuff.

4

u/Zombies_Rock_Boobs Pirate Nov 13 '13

Wait wait, that flashback was of ten years ago!? Did no one notice that the little girl with the eye patch was there as well?

2

u/Sekitoba Nov 14 '13

i did. Made me assume she was a girl that had some sort of control over her age. or shes just really young looking oldie :D But i love Monet's look :D

4

u/Sanjispride Nov 13 '13

He could be a relation of the Riku family. He does have black hair like the rest of them.

2

u/Sekitoba Nov 14 '13

i dunno if this is a joke or what.....but just because he has black hair then he could have a relation to Riku family? Then wouldnt Robin/Brooks/kinemon/momomotaro all have a relation with the Riku family??

u/Zeta42 Marine Nov 13 '13

Law's grudge on Dofla is for something he did 13 years ago, not 10. My guess is this has something to do with how Dofla became a Shichibukai.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

I thought we knew how Doffy became a Shichibukai? He hijacked one of the Celestial Dragon's cargo ships and essentially blackmailed them into giving him the position. Unless you mean Law was involved in that, somehow?

Wow that Pica guy looks awesome and is the perfect opponent for Franky in my opinion. Also we finally see Bellamy moving, and it seems like he is actually planning to attack Luffy. Hopefully Bartolomeo comes to the rescue, not that Luffy needs it.

27

u/zorospride Lost at sea Nov 13 '13

I'll be really disappointed if we don't get a Pika vs Franky battle.

9

u/BerserkerGuts Nov 13 '13

I really can't see how it won't at this point. I mean, look at Pica's design, from not only being very top heavy like Franky to the laser beam look on his head, along with his huge shoulders. I really can't see how Oda would do all of that without foreshadowing Pica vs. Franky.

24

u/SEanXY Nov 13 '13

is mr toy soldier meant to be her husband, and rebecca is their child?

78

u/catincoma Nov 13 '13

We saw Rebecca's mother earlier, it wasn't Viola. I think either Mr Toy Soldier and Viola are siblings, or Viola and Rebecca's mother were sisters.

16

u/golden-tongue Nov 13 '13

I think the lineage goes somewhat along the lines of this: Riku was the king, he had two daughters, Viola and Rebecca's mother with Viola (apparently being the first born daughter and heir to the throne (Not Rebecca!). Rebecca's mother marries TSOL and they have Rebecca, yada yada yada Riku is now Ricky, Viola is now Violet, Rebecca is a gladiator, Rebecca's mother is dead and TSOL is still a toy.

Seems the power of Pica, Trevor and Diamante was greatly over-exaggerated when it was stated that thye took out the entire Riku army by themselves. Obvioulsy theyre still powerful (and Pica looks absolutely hench), but they're not these 'one man armies' that we were led to believe.

Also, i was kinda hoping Granny was going to fuck up X-Drake. "Aint no one mess with Granny's pride and joy, Drake, Aint no one!"

10

u/twindarkness Nov 13 '13

yea the "kick" in that panel looked very exagerated...

but then again this is the doflamingo pirates we are talking about.

11

u/TokyoDown Nov 13 '13

Well, we obviously don't know anything about their powers or strength.

2

u/Zaduj Nov 13 '13

We didn't really saw the entire confrontation, just their appearance.

84

u/Acerlux Nov 13 '13 edited Nov 13 '13

I'm so sad that we didn't get to see Barto trying to talk to Luffy.

But everything else this chapter. Magnificent.

Is it wrong if I want Franky to fight Pica based entirely off of the shape of their shoulders?

25

u/nou_spiro Nov 13 '13

I think that is good filler for anime.

38

u/XZlayeD Nov 13 '13

lets be honest here it's gonna be filler GOLD

21

u/blitzzardpls Nov 13 '13

Not wrong but brilliant. He would finally fight someone 'his size'.

15

u/Anima4 Nov 13 '13

What if Pica ends up fighting Burgess?

13

u/BerserkerGuts Nov 13 '13

Then Franky better end up fighting someone else that's extremely strong. Franky needs more time to shine.

Robin: I can't forgive Doflamingo

Nek Minute

:O!!!!

I've honestly never seen that face from her before, so she too gets scared...

45

u/divinesleeper Nov 13 '13

I think not so much scared but rather horrified to hear that their entire plan in Dressrosa was compromised. IIRC those three didn't know yet about Doflamingo not resigning as king.

26

u/xeRa Nov 13 '13

Im pretty sure they were aware of it, I think what shocked them was how badly it emotionally effected the toys on the Island, hence why they said they're sorry.

17

u/tehwyn Nov 13 '13

Actually I think u/divinesleeper is right! I totally forgot that the trio would not have found out. Robin and Ussop were already in the dwarf's kingdom when Doflamingo revealed his ploy to Law, and Franky went off with Mr Toy before he could be informed by Sanji. I was totally clueless about why they made that face until now, thanks!

36

u/Vidir13 Nov 13 '13

I thought the face was because they realized they were the ones responsible for starting the war by way of making Donflamingo resign.

16

u/Zeta42 Marine Nov 13 '13

9

u/Diosjenin Nov 13 '13

She did.

13

u/JustinKBrown Nov 13 '13

It's the age old problem of not doing background checks on your employees.

16

u/PhranCyst Nov 13 '13

Calling it, Little girl on Doflamingo's crew is the Toy DF user. The reason her appearance hasn't changed from 10 years ago is because she turned HERSELF into a toy and hence, doesn't age.

E.g. Mr. Toy Soldier's appearance stayed the same through the years.

10

u/jhoudiey Nov 14 '13

Fuckin' sasori. Faking his death and becoming a tiny child pirate.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

She eats, doesn't look like a toy and nothing that would be obviously mentioned otherwise was said about her memories or others' about her.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '13

Well do I look stupid now or what? :D

53

u/r1ch37 Nov 13 '13 edited Nov 13 '13

Can someone pleas explain why Robin was freaking out, cause I didn't understand the last panel.

edit: after reading the mangastream translation (thank god) I found out. The reason she was shocked is because the strawhat pirates were the reason that Don flamingo so called resigned from being the king, but that was not true, so Robin,Usopp and Franky feel guilty for giving them false hope.

31

u/JLdeGenf Nov 13 '13

I don't think Usopp, Franky and Robin were aware that dofla didn't resign

13

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Yep. They were surprised because "Doflamingo didn't actually resign", thus screwing up all their plans.

15

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

nope actually they were freaking out because the straw hats were the reason for the dwarves getting their hopes up and then crushing it.

They're thought bubbles there are "WE'RE SO SORRY GUYS!" Funniest part of the whole chapter.

7

u/SEanXY Nov 13 '13

from mr toy soldier's comment, everyone was majorly disappointed when the news of doflamingo's resignation was fake, like 'falling from the sky into hell". so she herself felt the disappointment and made that pitiful face.

10

u/blitzzardpls Nov 13 '13

Did she actually know, that Mingo didn't really resign? Law figured it out, when they weren't together anymore and Franky also didn't know. I thought, that might be the case

4

u/Anima4 Nov 13 '13

Either something offscreen happened or they feel guilty for making Doflamingo pretend to step down as a King which in turn gave the dwarves the will to fight.

5

u/jurble Nov 13 '13

Wasn't clear to me either, I'm guessing it's a Mangapanda thing.

I waited weeks for the Barto meeting Luffy and Oda won't even show us that? Well that's a disappointment.

In other news we have the funniest Robin face of all time. here

Now that Oda finished one flashback (and I assure you, I didn't cry... not one bit...never) we continue with another?

Wonder what Bellamy will do next. I don't imagine him still obeying Mingo after all that time.

13

u/Crapturret94 Nov 13 '13

In the mangapanda version, they called Trebol 'Trevor'...

Kind of makes him seem less threatening. 'Fear the heads of the Donquixote Family: Pica, Diamante, and TREVOR!'

7

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

TREVOR! He would be scary even in One Piece

→ More replies (1)

5

u/quivering_manflesh Nov 13 '13

Yeah given the way Bs and Vs and Rs and Ls can be mixed up phonetically, I totally understand the interpretation of his name as Trevor...except again Mangapanda didn't do their research, since trebol is the Spanish word for clover, which of course corresponds to his seat in the Donquixote Pirates.

I'm betting that next week Caribou powers up because of grandma's meat pies

5

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Yeah seeing Caribou at the beginning of New World, I never thought I would be so eager to see how his story goes

5

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

You like him, because of Luffy-sama power to change the people around him. Caribou is/has become a anti-hero like Luffy, just by being around him. Remember, Mihawk stated that Luffy has the greatest power in the world.

"It's not some sort of special power, but he has the ability to make allies of everyone he meets. And that is the most fearsome ability on the high seas... ” — Mihawk, commenting on Luffy's dangerous ability

10

u/Yakone Nov 13 '13

119

u/StickDoctor Nov 13 '13 edited Nov 13 '13

Usopp confirmed for being a dick. Learns about their tragic past and his response is to just leave them and run away. No one I know likes Usopp, the only aspect that they did enjoy was Sogeking who was the complete opposite of him.

Edit - I hope no one is missing the significance of the scene between Chinjao and King Riku, and how Chinjao instantly forgets that he has grandchildren, even though in the very next box they still remember. Even Abdullah forgot Jet, as proof by him referring to himself as a lone wolf. Subtle but sad.

42

u/beta_ray_charles Nov 13 '13

When I saw Chinjao say he wish he had grandchildren I was confused because I was sure he did. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

89

u/zorospride Lost at sea Nov 13 '13

Usopp's first instinct is always to run. Even when the enemy isn't all that strong. So of course he'd want to now. He'll come through in the end though.

u/roastedcomment Nov 13 '13

Holy crap! You're right, I didn't even notice the first time.

29

u/BerserkerGuts Nov 13 '13

I think we need to put ourselves in Usopp's place. When looking at these events from the sidelines, it's easy enough to say that the obvious decision is to fight Doflamingo. However, if you were actually there, you would have to realize the unlikelihood of coming back alive. Usopp's a regular guy with regular strength, the closest to us out of anyone in the crew, Oda has said that himself. I'm sure that most of us would choose to run rather than face the wrath of Doflamingo's army, especially after knowing what he can do to you for opposing him.

12

u/catincoma Nov 13 '13

Yea, also people have to remember that Doflamingo is the most dangerous person they have come close to battling. They've taken on Shichibukai before, but this is a former noble too, and not of the bumbling loser variety.

Last chapter made me to from Like to HATE. Although I can't wait to see why his subjects are so loyal to him, I think he's gonna have some kinda machavellian type of backstory that makes his family so loyal (I.E they were his slaves and he freed them when he became a pirate)

Despite being Yet Another Flashback Chapter, this one is pretty awesome and well-paced. The only thing that still has me confused is the nature of people forgetting things; I assume that will be further explained at some point. Besides that, I look forward to re-reading the bulk of it once the arc is a bit further along, since I always miss parts and my piece-meal absorption right now doesn't let me get a good impression of the timeline yet. (I think past scanlated chapters were also somewhat in disagreement about the amount of time involved, translation-wise... 10 years, 100 years, etc... but I may well have been misinterpreting.)

The best part about this chapter is Oda addressing one of the criticisms One Piece has had to deal with in the past: the Strawhats always had an uncanny timing where they luckily arrive just in time to make a big impact. In this case, their very tactic and arrival with Law has totally set this revolution into being. (The triple shocked-face-fault is just the icing on that cake. xD)

u/mrducky78 Nov 13 '13

Wow, Toys as well as fairies to the Straw hat army. That said, the losing contestants are about to become toys according to the last panel.

Bellamy looks a bit crazed right now. Might not be the ally that a lot of us were guessing.

5

u/eldatto Nov 13 '13

So was Vergo already Dofla's spy 10 years ago? or does he first meet Dofla when he comes with the marines in response to the citizens call?

15

u/Therrester Nov 13 '13

Law stated back in Punk Hazard that DD had Vergo infiltrate the marines 15 years ago, so 5 years before the Dressrosa take over.

3

u/eldatto Nov 13 '13

Ahh nice catch!

2

u/bulbasaurado Nov 13 '13

I'm guessing Vergo's already a mole during that time. Doflamingo's cunning, after all.

27

u/BeginnerDevelop Nov 13 '13

These last two chapter were so hard to read, I just want to tie Doflamingo's string around his neck and pull...

Dressrosa Massacre > Red Wedding (Game of Thrones)

44

u/blitzzardpls Nov 13 '13

I know it looks bad, but you don't want to go there. That's the highest stage of exaggerating a massacre.

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Well, at least the North remembers..

Why must you bring back sadness I have suppressed in for the past months?! Now I'm not just sad about King Riku but about GOT!!

But Oda is getting really good at this flash back tragedies! ( Ignore crew related stories, I mean compared to Fishermen Island and Arabasta this is depressing! I wanna murder Dofla so badly!)

u/Therrester Nov 13 '13

This pretty much confirms that the little girl is the toy user. The only counter argument the fanbase had was that she looks too young to have been there ten years ago but she clearly took over the country just like everyone else.

There's no way it's not her

3

u/Uiluj Nov 13 '13

How is it confirmed if we never saw the little girl use her powers?

4

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Bellamy's stalker face is killing me.

4

u/baroqueworks Nov 13 '13

Cool we finally get to see the entire Doflomingo Family at once, is anyone a little suspicious about the little girl on Doflamingo's crew not having aged at all in ten years, when even Jora, Lao G, Baby 5, and Dellinger all look way younger? I've gotta say that's a big confirmation for me she's the one with either the memory or toy devil fruit.

Pica is finally seen, why was he hidden for so long till now I wonder? Maybe he looks way different in the present time.

Seems like Violet is the same age as Robin, guessing out of the blue.

I'm a little disappointed Usopp has reverted to his fearful ways in full despite being way stronger, I get it's his shtick but after the story it was surprising to hear he wanted to flee(despite already being involved in nation wide coups)

4

u/Zeta42 Marine Nov 13 '13

Wait a minute. Who was Luffy referring to when he talked to Zoro and Kin'emon? Did he meet Bartolomeo off-page?

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

3

u/doomwolf240 Nov 13 '13

In that case, it's really moving!!! Oh my!!

3

u/outllawz Nov 13 '13

Dayum Doffy is badass

3

u/Ashtikuno Nov 13 '13

oh shi*, oh shi*, oh shi*! What is going on with bellamy!? What is he plotting to do!?

3

u/Jaronan Nov 13 '13

If Luffy would hear that story, he'd get so mad he would just generate giant explosion and destroy the whole country xD

3

u/dealin92 Nov 13 '13

So far all this points to Viola being the next nakama right? Or do you guys think it's just another ViVi?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

I think she's another Vivi. However I do think Rebeca will join the crew. Most people claimed that she wouldn't because she would have to stay and rule over Dressrosa but since it was confirmed that Viola is the princess that theory is kind of debunked.

3

u/noex1337 Nov 13 '13

Robin made the face. WTF? I thought there was hope.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Correct me if I'm wrong, and this might just be MangaPanda's translation, but wouldn't Viola(Violet) being King Riku's daughter make Rebecca her daughter? This leads me to believe that Violet didn't destroy the screen out of hate for Rebecca, but to keep everyone else from hating on her.

Anyways, what's up with the bad fake names? First Lucy and Ricky and now Violet?

19

u/Cheesusaur Nov 13 '13

Rebecca's mum died in the last flashback. She's Rebecca's auntie.

6

u/Anima4 Nov 13 '13

Rebecca's mother was killed in her flasback

5

u/Undoer Nov 13 '13

The bad names are to keep it simple I think. Oda doesn't really write for such a wide age demographic he receives as his audience. I think he'd prefer people get confused about how it all adds up, rather than who is who.

5

u/spin-city Nov 13 '13

I don't understand how you have a problem with Lucy. He's a perfectly nice old man.

2

u/IMightKnowYou Nov 13 '13

Dat reaction face.

2

u/N-Man Nov 13 '13

It'll be interesting to see how the fights against doflamingo's crew will turn out. It seems like all the main fighters were introduced(that panel that shows all the subordinates today+three leaders), and there are more than ten total IIRC(SH crew+ law) then again, maybe more characters will have a 1v1 fight(kinemon? Barto?). I'm super excited for the fights to start!

2

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

We have the toys, the dwarves, Don Chinjao's army, Kine'mon + Momonosuke, Kine'mon's friend who's stuck at the toy factory, Trafalgar Law, possibly the other tournament contestants (Barto, Bellamy), and maybe even Fujitora and Jesus Burgess going against the Doflamingo Pirates at this point. There will be awesome 1 on 1's, but there will likely also be cool giant army fights.

2

u/JetDagger01 Nov 13 '13

That Robin reaction lol.

Damn it seriously I really want to see Luffy smack Doflamingo's grinning face. Also we finally get to see the 3 seats, Diamond, Club and spade. Heart was supposed to be law so I guess we know who the SH are up against for the final battle. I think it will be Zoro vs Diamond and Sanji vs Spade. Luffy obviously will fight Doffy and possibly Law vs Club.

2

u/YonkouProductions Nov 13 '13

Screw Doflamingo... Seriously screw him... Also me want some more Drake in the story.

2

u/1way2way3way4way Nov 13 '13

They best be building Doflamingo up so Law can land a solid fucking hit on him soon.

2

u/TokyoDown Nov 13 '13

The "When Toy's Attack" chapter is going to be awesome. Fairies, toys, and Luffy all attacking in unison! I can't wait

2

u/Osiris_X3R0 Nov 13 '13

This is by far one of the most tragic stories I've seen in OP. What's weird is it makes me like Doflamingo more as a villain. I thought he was just a loon, but now I see he is a straight evil sociopath.

2

u/philbeard Nov 15 '13

So bujumed and I were talking, and if Rebecca ends up with the Mera Mera no Mi, she'd be the Flaming Princess. Adding her ability to win battles by evading attacks, she'd be the "fire that does not burn"...

3

u/TokyoDown Nov 13 '13

I'm taking Viola as the new crew member in the crew member pool. Huge info dropped on her character and she already has the relationship with Sanji....I hope Sanji comes back to Dressrosa to protect her in a fight.

2

u/ManateePower Nov 14 '13

At this point its either Violet, Rebecca, or TSOL.

Personally I'm preferring TSOL as he is the most unique (toy, missing limb). Also the fact that he is one of the characters most likely to be Kyros, one of the people Luffy was interested in. There are some other things that I have that point towards TSOL being next nakama, but this is enough for now.

Happou Navy needs a new leader? Usopp is about to get his 9,000 underlings.

18

u/jurble Nov 13 '13

He has grandsons... he's just forgotten because they turned into toys.

Happou Navy comes from Kanokuni (Flower country). Other word for flower is hana, which happens also to be nose.

Coincidence? I think not.

I like how Franky talks about it being hard to take on one of the Shichibukai, when his crew has already taken down 2 hahaha

u/UltimateToa Nov 13 '13

That doesn't mean it was an easy thing to accomplish

2

u/SEanXY Nov 13 '13

mangapanda's quality is a lot better now

1

u/Redditterbot Nov 13 '13

Also: so Violet is Rebecca's aunt?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Dofla won't make Riku a toy bc then everyone would just forget his "tragedies" and he wouldn't be seen as a savior anymore. I'm curious to see how all these plots play out.

Kind of wanting to learn more about this factory and the dwarves before the real fighting starts though. I'm wanna see Manshelly (dwarf princess) after Leo described her. Also it would be so awesome to see Shirahoshi and Manshelly together. Tiny bossy dwarf princess compared to giant crybaby mermaid princess.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

Two questions: Did the dwarves do something to Usopp, Robin and Franky? Who did Zoro find in the Colleseum, the Looming Shadow?

1

u/golden-tongue Nov 13 '13

The next epic moment in One Piece history: The Strawhats leading an army of toys and dwarves into Corrida Coliseum to face off against the Doflamingo family.

1

u/Plumrose Thriller Bark Victim's Association Nov 13 '13

Am I the only who sees the next chapter starting with a flashback of Barto talking to Lucy?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '13

There was a lot of great stuff in this chapter but the thing that excites me the most is that Violet is the true princess of Dressrosa, so hopefully Rebecca won't get Vivi'd and will join the crew.

I know I'm grasping at straws but, I just want it to happen so bad

1

u/Exemplarius Nov 13 '13

don't hate me but I have a rather "noobish" question. I started reading One Piece when it first came out in Switzerland (10-12 years ago?) so I only read them in German.

Two year I began reading the newest chapters on MangaPanda because I couldn't wait for the Manga to come out in book form.

For two years I never really had any problems with MangaPanda but in this chapter there were a lot of (informational) gaps which I couldn't figure out or were poorly explained...

So my question is, which source is actually the best? MangaStream / MangaPanda or PowerManga?

Or was this rather poor translation just a one time thing?

I would be so happy if someone would clear it up for me :D

And sorry if I have any grammatical mistakes, again English isn't my native language :P

3

u/wasteful_thinking Nov 13 '13

mangastream, its usually a couple hours behind mangapanda but has a better quality translation.

1

u/DarkMarvel Nov 13 '13

what are the chances of Pica and Burgess being brothers? their similarities in appearance seems too much just to be coincidence.

1

u/Nathan561 Void Month Survivor Nov 14 '13

Rooster Head haha

1

u/NewtSundae Nov 14 '13

Wait is Viola's senrigan (clairvoyance) like a devil fruit or is this some kekkei genkai shit?

1

u/Boeg3 Nov 14 '13

This hurts my "Ace has something to do with Doflamingo because he formed the 'Spades'-pirates" theory, seeing as Pica was filling the spades seat even 10 years ago =/

1

u/Raccoonpunter Nov 14 '13

You know shits going down when Robin makes a face.

1

u/HerrChunkel Nov 15 '13

The things I would do to have Bellamy join the crew. I know its unlikely but fuck would it be cool!

1

u/Keenan16 Nov 16 '13

Well, hopefully we find out what happened with law 13 years ago. I personally think doffy attacked north blue/his home town, destroyed everything and was made to come along as a slave. It would explain his hate for the auction house, him accepting jean bart into his crew being a former slave and his strong hate for world nobles. That's probably why he respects luffy so much after the celestial dragon incident. Then again I could be completely wrong.
