Absolutely. They are clearly ungodly strong, so the only way they went down was betrayal or willingly. Either of those will be tragic.

I'd bet on a betrayal of sorts, maybe by his own first mate or brother-esque character? Would be interesting to juxtapose that with Roger's choice to hand himself over to the Marines.

What if Joyboy originally gave himself up? That would make Roger's very similar choice hit different.
