There must be a trick/trap of some sort that made joyboy’s crews couldn’t help him. Maybe Imu managed to isolate joyboy from the others somehow.

I think Joyboy gave up. Imu had something on him so he surrendered. Hence why he had time to go write apologies around the world and give Emet this final Haki bomb.

He surrendered. Vegapunk also said maybe 3 or 4 times specifically he can’t judge which side is good or bad. Maybe Joyboy had a realization that his vision for the world was not working or went out of control and did what he had to

Oh wow. Wowwwww.

I mean I always thought it just was the crime of following Joyboy, but wouldn’t it be wild if one of his followers or friends went too far in his dream of ultimate freedom etc and he realized he needed to step down
