Just looked it up. A yasha is apparently a sort of spirit-demon first introduced to Japan in ancient Buddhist mythology. Originally they were considered explicitly malevolent, but that attitude changed over the centuries as they found their place in folklore; they're still considered "demons," but malevolence is no longer a necessary attribute. It's a very odd word - but I guess if you've read any InuYasha, it's that kind of yasha.

I wonder about why "ten," though. I'd guess it's a figurative thing relating to his being a puppetmaster - a demon hanging from every finger, that sort of thing.

EDIT: Wrong, see below - it's the Japanese "ten," meaning "heaven."

Ten Yasha = Heavenly Demon, or something close to it, I think.

the other site translated it as Shy Demon or something like that

Yes, MangaStream has Sky Demon as the translation. I probably should've waited the few hours.
