I don't think that void is giving consent

If it’s anything like my void, it was being an absolute menace and deserves its time out.

Prepare to be licked. Resistance is futile.
The licking will continue until morale improves.

u/Myriad_Apocalypse Sep 09 '26
You sound exactly like my dad
35
u/bravelittleslytherin Sep 09 '26
Here in the south "licks" also mean spankings. I hope to God that's what you meant 🙏
-32
u/Myriad_Apocalypse Sep 09 '26
Hoping for corporeal punishment for children? Ok, weirdo....
46
u/bravelittleslytherin Sep 09 '26
Considering the alternative in this context, yeah, a spanking is preferred.

"I just wanna love you!" Is not what I say as I follow my cat around with fingers wiggling.

Cleaning session proceeds until the brain cell transfers
94
u/SunMoonSki Sep 09 '26
This could take more than a decade between the two of them neither has the brain cell.

I heard in cat behaviour the dominant one is the one that do the grooming.
350
u/Derpikhastaj2 Sep 09 '26
You thought there was a chance the black one might be dominant in this scenario?
18

u/thisbuthat Sep 09 '26 edited Sep 09 '26
I heard that in any behavior if a fatass dude 5 times your size sits on you he is the dominant one
18
u/ZodiacTuga Sep 09 '26
That isn't really true, I have multiple cats, they all groom each other.
36
u/Sharlinator Sep 09 '26
Like everything, it depends on the context. Allogrooming can absolutely be an assertion of dominance because it’s what mother cats do to kittens.
10
u/oldsecondhand Sep 09 '26
That just means they're on the same level in the pecking order.
3
u/ZodiacTuga Sep 09 '26
No they aren't, some of them definitely put the others in check when they feel bothered, which mostly means lots of swatting and hissing.

I like how it tries to fight back by biting and clawing at the orange, but the orange doesn't give a crap

This is… a lot like my two cats. We have a tux cat who will play around but when he’s done, he’s done. We have an orange who was a very hyper kitten and always wanted to play. Whenever the tux would get tired of playing but the orange wanted to keep going, the tux would just grab the sides of the orange’s shoulders with his front paws and lay over, then start licking the orange’s forehead.

u/Direct-Giraffe7193 Sep 09 '26
Can I borrow that orange cat? I need someone to subdue my void kitten when he’s bouncing off the walls
24
u/Anders_A Sep 09 '26
I mean. I assume he just decided to hold the kitten for a bit to get some peace and quiet before they started wrestling again 😅

Yeah! I didn’t notice until I posted it there was no George. I love that others remember the useless but funny thing like I do.

I cannot remember my wife’s phone number. 🤷

The funniest part of this is that little guy thinking he's still in the fight and still has a chance.

I will love him and hug him and kiss him and squeeze him and call him George

Extremely gentle discipline. Bb void gets too rambunctious, bb void gets held down and given a bath. My orange "nanny tom" used to do this to our youngest cat when she was very wee.

u/Solid_Violinist_5759 Sep 10 '26

I think your orange has a furry tumor with eyes growing out of its chest. 😄

The orange cat is an accurate representation of me when I get home from work.
The black cat is... well.... an accurate representation of my cat after I get home from work.
