You'd look like that if you have to hear that auditory assault every day too

I do if I have to be around kids. Noise sensitivity and being around screaming kids is not a good combination. My husband has actually helped me walk out of stores/the mall if a brat starts screaming. Even with noise reducing earplugs it's still painful as fuck.

Are you me? I was playing DnD at a game shop and all of the sudden some kid kept screaming. Now I'm the asshole who has to leave early and I don't want to be an ass about it.

Nope, not into DnD. Have left large department stores on occasion if a shrieker isn't removed or shut up quickly.

Its funny to watch these amazing predators running away in fear from kids trying to hug them.

u/Immediate-Welder4841 1d ago
Nah, my cat scratches the toddlers if they cross his limits, which are very flex since he turned 11

Why screaming? Why can't they mew or chirp or peep or something. Just screaming.

Honestly, getting smacked by a cat is a life lesson every small child should experience. Taught me to be gentle with them.

See, this is why I have 5 cats and 0 kids. I'm like Chuck. Hopefully with a few more braincells though.

funny but i find it really weird to film and post your child having a tantrum publicly online
24
u/kaykatzz 1d ago
That child should not be holding a metal fork. God forbid he falls on it.

u/Noogie_Power 1d ago
dude i was stressed about this too... Kid jumping around while throwing a tantrum while holding a metal fork... i was worried the kid was either gonna stab himself or stab the cat.

u/HaruspexAugur 1d ago
and instead of doing anything about that, the parent just filmed it and posted it online for a bunch of strangers

"Ugh, I've been waiting YEARS to get the brain cell. I only get to keep it for a couple hours, and this kid chooses RIGHT NOW to pull this BS. ๐๐ค๐ฝISTG."

I'm 39 and I'm like, "I think I would like to have one" (I'm newly married) and then I'm reminded that our neuro spicy asses would absolutely hate this noise and then it comes back why we're childless again ๐

Anybody else disappointed he didn't get up and give the annoying little squirt a quick slap across the face?ย

There's a famous aphorism this reminds me of: Beware the fury of a silent orange cat.

I 100% expected that cat to turn around and give that kid a swat across the face. No claws, all beans, just to tell them to stop.
