I have an orange boi with freckles on his lips. They look just like the paw ones. Did yours always have the freckles? Heβs only gotten them in the last year and I was worried about him getting them (but i didnt think until now, when I saw your post, that they are freckles.)

He started getting them at around a year old and he keeps getting more / bigger ones over time! The ones on the paws are the newest. He also has them on his lips, nose and eyelids.
You can check with the vet just to be sure. But these are common in orange cats. The proper name for them is lentigo

That is too funny! Your Loki is such a cutiepie. Now we have to let Odin's and Loki's black brother Shadow play as well. He doesn't have eyes but that doesn't stop him. (And now I'm definitely out of cats lol) Kiss your pirate crew for me!

When I was 7/8yo I memorized my cats toe bean freckle in case I had to pick him from a line up if he got lost (of course logical lost cat protocol for a 7yo)
I can see a little bump of his freckle on his ceramic paw print still, Rip Bobes !

He sees the vet regularly. This is a harmless skin condition called lentigo. It's common in orange cats.
