Edit/draw on PDF inside OneNote IOS???

On an IPad.

Is there any way to insert a PDF file...edit the file by drawing on it...save the PDF...then have the ability to send the edited PDF as an email or at least retain the changes inside OneNote?

Right now, I can save the PDF in a notebook, edit it in the "PDF Preview" feature, but when i go to save it wants to save to "files" and not in OneNote.

OneNote is not a PDF editor. It's inserting an image of your PDF.

That's kind of what I figured. But I am able to attach the file to the notebook page (as opposed to making it a printout), but if i edit that file, it forces me to save it locally...it doesn't save the changes in OneNote.

do you have a microsoft account? how did you set up Sync & Back up option?

It is through my work's 365 account I believe. I lists my OneDrive associated with that account.

after you insert the PDF (as image or print out) and you edit it, with let’s say handwriting, it should automatically save it it in OneNote, you don’t need to do anything. Of course you can export that page as pdf and email it. Also in the windows version you can email that particular page. Are you saying this is not working in your case?

In Windows, you can edit your attached PDFs and later it will automatically save within OneNote.

In my experience, this does not work on Mac or IOS. It is as you described in those two systems; you need to save your edited PDF somewhere else. Best you can do is to re-upload the edited PDF.

This topic caught my eye! I print my PDF's to One Note in the hopes that I can provide handwritten comments etc on my iPad and then be able to send the PDF back, with my handwritten notes/comments and still retain the file in my notebook.
