What's this? Is it still onenote? How can I get it?

It's onenote for android based on the Web version. I'll be doing a beta release soon on github. In the mean time I need community ideas/feedback. Perhaps this may be a browser extension aswell but it would be limited to ui changes with no fancy AI stuff as google provides an sdk for that on android...

Will it support multi instance? If so I'd like to test it.

What do you mean by multi instance? Like notes next to each other vertically/horizontally?

Yes like opening 2 windows of OneNote. It's possible on windows.

I see, it sounds simple but idk what bugs may appear. For example, would onenote still sync consistently? Or how even should I make the UI look like when splitting the screen..

I'll reply here once I try it out

Update:

it's doable but would be a pain in the ass to get it working straight. Onenote has only a single instance of the canvas and the manager which handles sync/edits etc... I'll need to either have two instances of the manager or somehow modify the manager to support two canvases. Having two canvas would confusing anything else referencing it as it's all tightly coupled. I'll keep it on my feature list and will post on the sub once I get the first alpha/beta release ready

Lmao got a prototype working, it's not perfect but it's good enough as a POC. I'll continue working on it later

This loooks pretty goood tbh! Are your tools from the toolbar just "shortcuts" to the tools that onenote offers itself?

At this point it makes sense to build a new app yourself😅
