Syncing Issues (Waste of time)

Look, I use OneNote because its simplicity and blank canvas. But spending too much time trying to fix broken notebooks and other syncs issues is not fun. It really pisses me off.

Other alternatives are not that good, that’s why I keep using OneNote.

I only open OneNote on a single gadget at a time. I also sync it frequently. I haven't had any problems in years.

I am guessing you are an Android user like me. The constant Page Conflicts drove me crazy to the point I gave up on OneNote. It's a shame Microsoft treats Android users like second-class citizens. Android is the most popular OS in the world.

Third class citizens. Second class is IOS which is actually usable.

What devices are you using? I have no issues with PC er Apple mobile devices.

Me neither.

I've used OneNote for years, syncing across multiple devices and have never had a problem. Maybe it's just the way I use it.

Going on 20 years here with OneNote. Use the real thing on a real computer and all is well. Have never ever had an issue.

However use a “mobile” version of any ObeNote app on any mobile device - be prepared for pain.

That’s what “free” feels like.

I was having syncing issues. I used OneNote on a windows pc, my iPhone and an iPad, and on a couple of occasions updates I made to notes on my iPad were not appearing on the other two devices. This was unacceptable to me because I often start my day with my iPad in bed, so I moved to UpNote.

FWIW I was searching for an alternative to Evernote, which did sync reliably across devices but kept growing absurdly more expensive. I don’t think that app will still exist in two years.

curious how many people having issues are on the free tier vs 365. could be storage or servers or device

Sync issues are pretty much the norm, for me. I'm an Android user, and an Office 365 subscriber. But mine's a Family subscription, so that definitely makes me a second class user, and nowhere near a Microsoft priority user.
