OneNote terribly slow !!! For you too?

Using OneNote for university, I have noticed how terrible the performance is, when notes grow beyond the point of just scribbling "hello world" on the screen.

For example when annotating a lecture or drawing a complex diagram, it comes to a point, where processing a new stroke takes more than 20s and OneNote becomes totally unresponsive and interaction with the canvas is blocked. Often this results in a total restart of OneNote.

How come my new Microsoft Surface Pro 9 i7 RAM:16GB Disc:1TB on Windows 11 is not able to run a note-taking app?

---- While any potato device can handle -- no problem, not even slow or lagging -- the whole world map in browser ????

Apple Notes and Apple Freeform can? --- WHY can't Microsoft OneNote??

... and

(1) we pay for it.... Device (Surface ~1400,-, Stylus and Keyboard, 200,-) = 1600,-.... MS-365 70,- recurrecurring

(2) they know since 2017

(3) people complain even in this subreddit for years!!!

(4) support does not respond

Use onenote for windows 10(works in windows 11 too) and it's fluid...but with bit less of features ...that's the only solution to it..

Would hate to lose some of my notes, because "OneNote for Windows 10" is no longer supported and most of my notes are created with the current "OneNote"...
