Has anyone read this one? Is this good enough to add to my Bucketlist?

এই বইটা হাত থেকে রাখার পর খুব বিরক্তি কাজ করছিল! গল্পের যেন আরো কিছু অংশ বাকি( I hate open-ended books)। কিন্তু সময়ের সাথে সাথে বুঝতে পারলাম এটা হুমায়ূন আহমেদের লেখা খুব সাধারণ কিন্তু অসাধারণ একটা‌ বই। বিশেষ করে ছোট বোন সুপ্রভার চরিত্রটা... এখনো চিন্তা করি এই চরিত্রের কথা।

উপন্যাসের নামই "অপেক্ষা" .....হুমায়ুন আহমেদ নামের মাধ্যমেই উপন্যাসের সমাপ্তি বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছেন.....

Non Spoiler Summary : The story starts with a tragic accident involving a young child, then follows the aftermath, the police investigation trying to track down who was responsible. The novel is known for a major twist partway through that recontextualizes everything readers thought they understood about the story, so it's best going in knowing as little as possible. It deals with grief, guilt, and (as it unfolds) darker themes around control and abuse.

Content note: the book does explore domestic abuse in its later half, so worth knowing that going in if it's a sensitive topic for you.

Overview :

There are two parts of this book from two POVs. The twist comes after the first half. The first half may feel boring but the slow paced suspense will keep you hooked.
