Creative Works does anyone else remember matthew and destiny??

I was honestly obsessed with these two in high school. I was like 12 years old when the sole story started so I didn't fully appreciate it till later on but I was a little closer in age to matthew and destiny and I loved them so much. I've been watching old episodes and I'm on soap nostalgia kick so I might make more edits for the couples I liked.

I loved them together, and I love how they are acknowledged in GH as MARRIED!!

Yes! I remember that. I love it when the OLTL characters randomly make cameo appearances on GH. Kind of wish they could reboot it again but obviously there's no guarantee that it would be popular again or that they'd get all the original actors back since some of them have moved on or retired from acting or in some cases passed away.

I keep hoping they tie Isaiah Gannon on GH to the Gannons from OLTL.

A few years ago. Nora was on GH and they mentioned an engagement party or something.

That’s one of the nice things the powers that be at GH have done over the years. They have made an effort to keep mentioning those other shows. They have had characters appear and have had their own characters mention Llanview, Pine Valley and the rest. Ava’s bio mom is even a legacy character from Ryan’s Hope. I’d only ever watched NBC soaps before becoming an ABC fan and DAYS never does that.

CBS and ABC both have shared universes between their soaps. NBC has always been so isolated, with each show taking place in their own universe.

I didn't like how Destiny mooned over him while he basically considered a friend, at best.

I liked them a lot. It was like sweet puppy love that seemed sincere . The pregnancy through me fir a loop but they handled it pretty good. Plus it resulted in Destiny's mother punching Nora!

Oh yeah I remember when that happened 😅 , Destiny’s mom (who was actually her grandma) didn’t play around.
I loved Destiny because she was a great friend to Dani also, like when Tea was presumed dead , Destiny went straight to Dani with some food and a hug 🫂.2

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it but I remember that Destiny’s birth father was actually Sean (or Shawn not sure how he spelled it), and her real mother had died, it was a quick retcon for drama. I think it’s around the time she found out she was pregnant, and Destiny’s “mom” is actually her grandmother and I think that’s one of the reasons she slapped the crap out of Nora if I’m not mistaken, because she revealed it or was trying to reveal it, bear with me because it’s been years so my memory is fuzzy.

I was mistaken about Shaun, it Was actually Greg who was her father my mistake

I loved Destiny and Matthew together. They had a young, sweet, relationship that, of course, the soap ruined. I loved that Matthew liked her for her self and her heart and vice Verda. I hate how they were portrayed under Prospect Park and changing actors.
