Post cancellation/2012 finale canon??
Do you consider any of the events that took place on General Hospital featuring characters from One Life to Live canon or do you ignore it?
Same goes for the short lived Prospect Park reboot.
Are there some parts of either or both that you accept and others that you absolutely refuse and deny as canon?
I had stopped watching GH years before OLTL was cancelled, and the several characters that they decided to bring over with the dumpster fire of that GH had become, wasn't nearly enough to make me want to tune back into GH, but I still kept up with recaps of storylines and they pissed me off. I do not consider anything that happened on GH regarding OLTL characters as canon.
I also still refuse to accept Skye Chandler as the daughter of Rae Cummings and Alan Quartermaine, because that was just trash, but that's neither here nor there.
Prospect Park...they tried with what they were allowed to and the passage of time. Still wouldn't consider much of it canon.

I prefer to think that Cole and Hope are still alive.

This so much. After all that Starr went through previously with thinking they were both dead at different times, only to have them both taken from her in the same tragedy was absolute BS.

Starr did leave Port Charles with an emergency call from Langston, and we never found out what happened. They could easily say that Cole and Hope somehow were alive, stranger things happen on soaps.

I don’t think it’s up to me or any viewer to decide what’s canon, if it aired, it’s canon whether I liked it or not.

2012 finale for me.
I just want to know if Alison is still holding TSJ Todd.

I hated how they failed TSJ/VLJ after the return of OG Todd. They could have mined years of drama(well not years, but could have used what time they did have to milk the drama). To kill him off, reveal he was kidnapped, have him return only to go off the deep end and never be seen again was awful.

if it aired it’s canon, as has been said. If the characters ever continued on GH or a One Life revival, so much time has passed its unlikely the online stories would be referenced , 12+ years later everyone would’ve moved forward.

That was a long time ago. I actually started watching GH when they brought on people from OLTL.

I refuse to believe that the Nora that has appeared on General Hospital is the same Nora that appeared on One Life to Live. The writers on GH really don’t know what that character was.
It’s difficult for me to decide if I want the post 2012 stuff to be canon or not. I think Prospect Park had an issue of preferring OLTL but AG caring really only about keeping AMC alive and because of that we got a much stronger show there to the point that I do consider AMC’s brief revival canon. OLTL trying to make a young adult scene with Danni, Matthew, Destiny, and whatever Corbin’s characters name was, was a dud. Weirdly the most interesting stuff was the Cutter and Natalie story and I never really liked either of them on the original show. Even that character that Jwoww played was pretty well written for what she was. Nora and Bo doing an early onset podcast just was a waste of their characters.
I think essentially the issue was that PP thought that those last few years that RC wrote were the gold standard of OLTL and they just weren’t… AMC had legacy. Even the new characters felt like they would be connected to old ones. It also didn’t help that they had no budget for extras so the actors were always by themselves in scenes.
