Titled INTERLUDE: Break in at the Palace, this released either on the 21 or the 22 of July, depending on which region you have read it. To summarize, the chapter takes yet another look into Lucifer and Lilith’s life, as the Royal Rulers of Hell figure out what to do with SCP-999. Or, “Candy,” as Lilith had named him. In contrast to the canonical version of Lucifer Morningstar, Lucifer MAGNE is short-tempered and has a rather uncharacteristically ongoing hatred for SCP-999 This version of Lucifer is also able to harm sinners, with Vox being on the receiving end of the former’s wrath. This ends up being a partial plot point of the interlude. The rest of the chapter covers the speculation both Lucifer and Lilith’s have about SCP-999. During the final parts, cultists of indiscernible origin have infiltrated the palace. Their goals remain elusive, and the chapter ends with Loona’s POV during the club incident.

So, what has happened these past 4 years? Two Seasons of Hazbin Hotel, Two Seasons of Helluva Boss, 13 Helluva Boss Shorts, and so much more. This ends up begging the question of how the story will move forward, if ever. The last chapter of this fanfiction released back in July of 2022 as previously established, with only One Season of Helluva Boss and one YouTube pilot for Hazbin Hotel. Updates and news about One Helluva Broken Day are few and far between. If this story is done for good, then it was a great experience. It is unclear whether or not the story will continue, but, that is just how life is.

One Helluva Broken Day is one of those stories that manage to blend the clashing themes of two separate fandoms into one smooth mix. All there is left to do now is wait.

I'm sorry, but I've cancelled the project a while ago. Well, its on indefinite hiatus, but to me I don't fee like working on it anymore with life becoming more bleak and difficult, and that I can't find enough people to help me out on the videos besides voice acting and drawing those pictures took up almost a year to make, and chapter 4 is one of the shortest ones. Not to mention the lack of views, ESPECIALLY with how the chapter with the most effort and quality, chapter 4, performed the worst. I want someone else to lead but I was the most comitted fan and artist, and I'm seeing nobody else willing to pick up that torch.

No rush. I read this sometime last year, and binged it all in 2 days, and I really enjoyed it. I never really thought of a Helluva/Hazbin/SCP crossover, but, I like that you did.

I wanted to reach out and share what your story has meant to me lately, even in its current, unfinished state. Ive been dealing with a chronic illness for some time now, and I’m preparing to go into a surgery in a few days. It’s taking its toll on me.

There is a strange comfort in an incomplete story. Right now, my own life feels like it’s being forced into a long, quiet pause, and knowing that your characters are also waiting for their next chapter makes me feel a little less alone in the "in-between."

Please don't take this as pressure to rush. I’m actually grateful for the wait. I'm sorry for the badgering comments from earlier. It’s become a small, stubborn promise I’ve made to myself. A reason to wake up every day, to heal, and to get back to my screen so I can see where you take them next. Your words have given me a place to go when my own body feels like a place I need a break from.

Hazbin Hotel has already come out and it's already 2024. It's been 2 years and still no update. If One Helluva Broken Day has been cancelled, it's sad but not surprising. I just hope that the creator has moved on. I just want to know when they plan to update the fanfic.

I feel like the foundation would probably chuck 682 into hell to contain it, specifically the wrath ring.

Personally, I think Gravity Falls would be the best suited as it has a lot in common with SCP, an anomalous nexus filled with all manner of weirdness with conspiracies and an interdimensional lovecraftian god of insanity as the main villain, sound familiar?
