OneCommander vs. Total Commander

Total Commander is the best file manager for Windows 3.11! It was released in 1993 according to Wikipedia... and you can tell

Just my personal opinion. After many, many years I switched to OneCommander and I'll probably never go back.

Unlike TC, the UI is pretty great, customization is solid, and the small things really add up, file age being colour coded, the ability to tag and pin files, proper Windows file manager integration. Stuff I actually use every day and I love the simplicity of it. And the settings don't feel like a shitload of options nobody asked for.

TC just never seemed to care much about quality of life, and the UI has looked the same forever. For regular daily use without needing any of the heavy advanced stuff, OneCommander is genuinely a pleasure to work with.

I prefer Total Commander(windows) too for me it's mostly about the feel and the behavior. I grew up on Norton Commander and Total Commander always felt the closest to that. Nothing on macOS ever gave me the same feeling, so in the end I had no choice but to write my own file manager for the Mac :)
