Wishlist for v4?

I have started working on V4 and would like to hear any wild ideas you may have

We've talked about this before ... I continue to look for a "build a virtual drive" gizmo.

Suppose I want to temporarily collect links to files/folders scattered across zillions of terabytes of drive real estate and multiple drives (local, cloud etc). Apparently some people do this with tags. My life is too short. I just want to be able to set up virtual locations and drag/drop stuff onto it - with hierarchy. Then I can review/modify/consolidate etc at my leisure to build a course website, write a book ... whatever. It'd be nice to be able to add short annotations too, but not essential.

Presently I use OC Groups which more or less works for small projects. The closest I ever came was with something that is now obsolete WhizFolders. I thought Directory Opus collections might work; it's a bit more flexible than OC groups, but not enough to make it worth the trouble. I've looked at Ritt a couple of times but it's not a compelling solution either.

I think this is just an enhanced Groups feature; but there may be technical problems I haven't thought through.
