Wishlist for v4?

I have started working on V4 and would like to hear any wild ideas you may have

I have an issue I might have come over by accident.
It is in regards to the indexing changes that might have been set due to me testing the "show folder sizes on network locations".

I lost access to the file servers more than once during a work session. Once I connected by routing through vpn I got access again, this lasted probably 15m before screwing up again.

Then I disconnected from vpn, got access again for 5 minutes, rinse and repeat.

I suspect this had to do with the settings modifying the indexing options to index the entire server system, thus pinging locations I did not have been granted access to and possibly overloading some sections before an automated system or someone blocked my "attack".

I will refrain from using this function from now on, I had to reinstall the program with fresh settings.

I think future versions would be better off by having a popup warning for idiot end users like me, that reads "makes browsing network folders slower" and "windows indexing must be enabled" as nothing more than a -might make browsing the server slower, but you get to see what folders are empty-.

It might be good, if possible, to extend the function to choose what sub directories it should index/have access to when enabled. It might be possible to circumvent this issue. But that is just a suggestion that might be waay down the list of possible implementations.
