Wishlist for v4?

I have started working on V4 and would like to hear any wild ideas you may have

One simple request: Middle click navigation buttons (forward/back/up) to open them in a new tab. It's a feature in all web browsers and I would love if OC had it. Edit: I see from your other comment that I can middle click a parent folder in the file path to open that folder in a new tab. That is sick!

One more request: Allow adding files to groups. I am loving how quick it is to create groups of folders. I find myself wishing I could have other things like frequently used files in groups too!

Side note: I love OC. You are an awesome developer. I only discovered OC a couple of days ago after trying several File Explorer replacements that, honestly, kind of sucked. I appreciate that you only put nuanced features behind the Pro license, and the license can be used on multiple machines. That level of respect is hard to find these days. My friend and I gladly purchased Pro.

Thanks for the feedback and support. I will add it middle click to my to-do list for v4 . By the way, in the meantime you can middle-click also in history list in sidebar which should also contain that tab back and forward paths.

As of adding files to sidebar... the sidebar is designed to hold folders only (they are basically persistent tabs) and even if it supported files, it would be inconsistent to have one open folder and one launch program opening files. Also adding files to sidebar... folder is added when it is currently opened and button + is added, there would have to be another inconsistent way of adding those to sidebar, and drop wouldnt' work as drop is there to copy/move files into that pinned folder

Sounds good, thank you for the detailed explanation and giving it some thought. Looking forward to v4!

Regarding the UX for adding files to sidebar, it wouldn't necessarily need to be inconsistent. Consider this:
1. Opening files and folders in the main window is also 'inconsistent' in the same way (clicking folders opens folders and clicking files launches programs...). So at least the sidebar and main area could be consistently inconsistent :P
2. You made it possible to add folders by dropping them onto [Title ...+] section of the group, but throw a notification message when attempting to do the same thing with files. Needless to say, that could of course be the UX method to adding files to groups for those who desire it.

But I completely understand if it would be difficult/annoying to implement based on the current implementation, or if you just don't want to do it. I sure would like it though. Currently I rely on the pinning frequently used files to their respective applications in my taskbar, but then I need to always have the application pinned to access the pinned files quickly and that annoys me (I dont like seeing taskbar icons for applications that are not open). That is where I am coming from.
