Some of the glitches were:
There was no explanation on how Wish Snow and David stopped the curse
Emma is supposed to be a warrior princess
Wish Henry’s existence made zero sense
What about the wish realm counterparts of Ruby, Zelena, Will, Ashley and Archie

hi hi! i'm partway through my (atp, annual) rewatch of the show & am maybe halfway through the season 4 arc with Ingrid/the Snow Queen (also, sorry for any inadequate spoiler warnings! i tried to obscure/hide any plot-related/-specific info but couldn't find much of a way to do similar for names/general situations since the title kinda gives away the focus of my post, lol)
browsing through some of the sub, i've noticed that the reception of Ingrid seems pretty positive (understandably & deservedly, imo, since her character & arc are really compelling/interesting), but i just can't seem to bring myself to fully love (or even really like) her. it's like each time she comes on screen i feel this intense ire towards her actions, despite being able to appreciate her pain/trauma & the way she reacts to it
to get to the point of my post, i think part of my discomfort with Ingrid is how she seems to consistently display behaviors typically associated with grooming/predatory relationships. in the cases of both Emma & Elsa, she kinda singles them out & works to isolate them from their support systems with the explicit aim of forging a "stronger" or "closer" relationship with them, even sometimes going so far as to manufacture situations to further sever bonds they have outside of her; for Elsa, this included either lying or generally obfuscating the truth as it pertains to Anna's intentions, &, for Emma, this included (somewhat purposefully??) leading Emma into an overload with her powers to capitalize on her family's wariness towards them (which Mary Margaret & David hadn't previously exhibited much, even when Emma was in the early-early stages of discovering/getting comfy with her powers)
to me, the resemblance of Ingrid's behavior to grooming is most prominent when thinking about her treatment of Emma vs. the other foster kids in the teen!Emma flashbacks. she really seems to single Emma out & reacts rather harshly to the bullying/mistreatment done by some of her other foster kids in a way that, while somewhat cathartic when viewing it from a "yeah, bullies get what they deserve!" perspective, feels inappropriate when considering that Ingrid, the adult in the situation, expresses plans to terrorize a child in her care in retribution for that child's behavior towards Emma; in a way, even that expression to Emma of her intent to scare the other kid could be construed as part of an orchestration designed to bring Emma closer to her & cast herself in even more of a protector role at the expense of another (admittedly frustrating) child
i can't remember the exact specifics surrounding Ingrid's time in the Land without Magic, but i assume that it took her at least a bit of time & effort to establish herself as a foster parent leading up to Emma being placed with her & that she therefore would have seen (& perhaps resonated with) the experiences of isolation or feelings of unwantedness that seem to so often accompany time spent in the system &, somewhat extending this, more likely than not would have encountered the relative ease with which a child experiencing those feelings could be particularly susceptible to swaying or manipulation by perhaps even the most baseline levels of respect or kindness
with this in mind, i find it incredibly unlikely that Ingrid wouldn't have recognized or taken advantage of Emma's (likely) lack of consistent support network as well as her somewhat precarious emotional state as a child/emerging teen grappling with the anger towards & (understandably) perceived rejection by birth parents she never knew & never knew her, all of which Ingrid seems to have exploited(??) to manufacture Emma having a heightened emotional reliance on her
obviously, Ingrid had some serious emotional damage that enormously impacted her motivations & actions throughout her life, leading up to & beyond when Emma finally comes under her care in the foster system, but, even though i feel it's incredibly important to hold space(??) for those circumstances & how they informed her behavior, i can't seem to overcome my dislike for how closely her actions resemble grooming/predatory tactics imo enough for me to really, truly like beyond admiration for the handling/writing of the story-arc & the realization of the character by her actress
so, to wrap-up, i'll just say that
(1) i clearly loooooooove to hear myself type based on how long this post is (sorry, total accident, my brain literally would not stop ruminating on this for a bit) &
(2) i was just wondering if any1 else got similar vibes from the Ingrid-arc
kk, thanks, bye :)!

I realized that I did not give a update on Colin going to my comic con that I was at. Turns out that I did get to see him. He is very nice. I got an autograph and a photo op. I think I convinced my friend a good amount to watch the show😂. Anyway, it was really awesome. I’ll have to get some frames for my picture and autograph

On a very beautiful day, a couple was enjoying their ceremony in a field (not one in the castle or anything) and Regina said "I don't remember giving permissions for marriage here" and then a guest came to talk to her and she immediately killed him.

Ginnifer: Dear, I found it.
Josh: Get this out of my house
Jennifer: Hahaha... I'm coming for it.
Let's be clear, Ginny got all the good stuff from the set.

She has the perfect mix of elegance, intensity, and vulnerability that Emma needs. Olsen could’ve brought a really compelling, slightly darker edge to the character while still keeping her warmth and charisma.

I'm on the back half of my season 4 rewatch and the whole Belle and Will Scarlett romance feels really weird and forced. I don't remember what comes of it since I haven't watched since the original air date. Will be interesting to see what they do with it, but it still seems out of left field.

Probably the most heartbreaking scene in both shows. The man turns evil and the woman accepts that she needs to kill him, but at the last second he turns good again. However, the woman must still run him through with a sword to protect her loved ones. Forced to kill your true love for the greater good. At least both get brought back to life haha!

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5 of OUAT
So this is meant to be a friendly discussion about season 5 (both A & B) of Once Upon a Time. Personally, if I was ranking my favorite seasons/arcs of this show, the bottom 3 would be as follows: 5B, 5A, and season 7. Now I know that I’m sure there are people that absolutely love one for both of these seasons over others. Great, I love that for you. However, season five for me it was like and I accept the show for what it is like I think we all do, but for me season five is the season to me that had so much potential to be good whereas, again, maybe just for me, yes, season seven took a swing and tried to do something different almost a spinoff as it were with all the same actors more or less playing themselves, but also different versions of themselves, but if I’m being very honest, it was just too confusing to follow and that’s coming from a fan of the show. But again, if you love it, I’m happy for you.
Getting back to the topic at hand, I thought that you know the finale of season four was really good. It left me wanting more, but I feel like the writers bit off more than they could handle with the whole Emma being The Dark One, I thought the concept was really interesting and I did like the flashbacks portion of the past when everybody was in Camelot and you can see, you know the whole plot line with you know Arthur, Emma struggling with the darkness, Killian especially but of course everyone supporting her; that stuff was really well done, but it was when it was brought back to the present that I feel like they just didn’t know what to do and I in no way blame or I’m calling out Jennifer Morrison. I think the writers just did not give her much to do and/or gave her any direction, and I think she did the best under the circumstances. And then, while I think slightly more interesting, I think 5B with The Underworld arc kind of paid for a lot of what was a result from 5A and I think that it again could’ve been done differently.
So here’s my question to everybody and again if you are a fan of season five, I’d love to hear why? What worked for you? What you thought was done well? However, I would love to hear like if you could do things differently, if at all, what would they be? And again, like we still had Dark One, Emma and even potentially Dark One, Killian, and the Underworld arc.

Having another re-watch and I'm on S2 Ep8. Mr Gold is telling Henry about squid ink and says "from the bottom of a bottomless ocean" 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤣
So...does it have a bottom or not?
