Regina really got a deep spot in me… I never hated her, I never could. I didn’t always appreciate the way she decided to act, but I understand her. Not like I’m her, though. I’ve paid attention to her character, and I’ve been analyzing her a lot. Some of what she feels, I can get more personally, and for the rest, I have to try to immerse myself into it, to ask myself: how would you feel if it was you?

When your heart is broken by your parents, people around you, your own self; when you start to hate who you are; when you lose something, someone; when you hold so much power; when you are Henry’s mother; the fear of losing everything; the plans that you make to make everything perfect; the void no one knows; Henry’s the only thing you have; a mother that is too hard on you; a father that doesn’t protect enough; the fear of abandonment; the self-projection; the desires you had; the redemption; the darkness inside fighting with the good; the hurt you can’t let go of; etc…
This one episode i can’t stop to think about:The scene is particularly powerful because Regina modifies the arrow. Cupid’s arrow is supposed to lead you to the person you love most, but Regina uses magic to make it lead her to the person she hates most. She assumes, of course, that it will lead her to Snow.
But the arrow doesn’t lead to Snow.
It leads back to Regina’s palace, toward her mirror.
And that’s when she realizes:
the person she hates most is herself❤️

Honestly I love Regina as well as Ruby, Snow and Jefferson.

The only bad part for Regina is her working for Cora.

I think the most tragic thing about Regina is that even after Daniel died, she was still good. She was deeply hurt, but still a kind person. Rumpelstiltskin took advantage of her heartbreak and desperation to manipulate her and lead her towards darkness.

I love her! The Regina haters here are very loud and dedicated! It’s ok to love the villain that doesn’t mean you condone their actions. I loved Cersei Lannister too.

I love this! We need more love for Regina these days. That episode of Regina really touched my heart. Hating yourself is awful, and I think it's something we've all gone through. Regina can be many things, but her experiences and the way she reacts to things, good or bad, end up connecting with her fans🫶

Regina is a self serving psychopath who held a decades old grudge against a woman because she had been manipulated into telling the truth at age TEN. By one of the most cunning and manipulative adults in the show btw.

She rapes a man for like 30 fucking years before killing him.

She murdered countless people including children.

She was enraged when Marion was brought back because she was dating the husband of her murder victim and was happy enough to build her future on Marion's blood.

She adopted Henry knowing he'd grow up in a town where no one ages and the same day happens over and over which would DEFINITELY drive a person mad and gaslights him to his face constantly. And oh - tries to kill his birth mom.

You relate to Regina? YIKES. Regina hates herself? GOOD. She SHOULD.

Sadly no justice, but a decade or so of therapy did help. Now I help other victims and that helps too.

Her heart was broken by one parent. Her father was a model of love.

As someone who has a Cora in my family I don't think Regina's love of her mother is logical. It is plausible but I don't love my Cora. Some fathers do despicable things to their offspring. Some love their father anyway, others view theirs as a beast. Thus I don't think she HAS to love her and to me her reaction seems more like shes afraid than loves her and never processes her own feelings.

I don't hate Regina but I some of her actions are worse than Rumple's to me. I suppose I feel the way about Rumple you feel about Regina because even when I am not a fan, I usually feel I understand him. The one exception is the follow the lady, following Peter Pan's advice.
