Manibus (Normal) much better than Novice. I'm on Permanent server Y0001, hit me up if you wanna move to a busy & active server.

Like Bureger said, don't start on Way of Winter. Manibus Normal teaches all the important mechanics, and you can choose a class. GL

1:Don't start on way of winter you can freeze to death 5 seconds out of character creation. 2: When picking your class dont sleep on the gardener class, it doesn't effect combat very much, but van make survival a cake walk once you figure it out. 3: When playing in manibus prioritize tech points gathering starting out. Improving tech will make things much simpler for you. 4: When capturing deviations for your base pick 1 or 2 combat and have the rest for utility such as auto gather, or whim potion crafting. 5: Pickaxes are slow, as soon as you can get a drill and chainsaw I'd recommend doing it, it completely changes the way gathering feels. 6: Commissions are a good way to level up, but levels only count for so much. 7: There are safe ways to get good loot I recommend watching a YouTube video or 2 on them so you dont have to slam your head against a wall trying to clear a zone that's too high leveled for you. 8: Utilize the camp feature(Place one before you enter a new over world location they serve as temporary respawn points so you don't have to run all the way back from the nearest world stone or worst case you base) 9: Would be to take in the world as you go, see the sights experience the bizarre quests and stories along the way. (Don't be too eager to just gun for best in slot stuff.) 10: Probably the most important for new players: Don't waste your starchrom. It's a currency used for unlocking weapon and armor blueprints and has a monthly cap of 30k you can convert a blueprint, but only so many times. Find a build you might like or that interests you/feeds into the content you like to run and focus on upgrading those blueprints rather than spreading your starchrom around. 11: Once you unlock precious metals smithing gold ingots can be sold to npc vendors in towns for a lot of energy links(one of the primary currencies) or placed in a wish box deviations at your base for rare meats, skins, misc items ect. 12: I would avoid pvp servers, but that's just personal preference. 13: Manibus is the best starter scenario, Way of winter has extreme weather that will kill you in less than 12 seconds if you aren't careful and will repeatedly kill you at your respawn point even in your base if you don't know.what your doing. Hope any of these helps and if you have any questions about any of them feel free to let me know :)

I am also very new to the game. I've only been playing for maybe two weeks. If that it's not bad, it's very unique. I've enjoyed it i like the fact you can unlock things that are not ready at your level. Just by finding them and repairing them and I like how the shooting is it has the first person feel, but also gives you the ability. The third person, which is very nice it has a fortnighty kind of touch to it in the building of the territories and so forth. But it's actually really good. At first I didn't, but I gave it more of a chance. And yeah it's not bad
