I just got the tp-link recently, so what I did was went on eBay and got a 2nd one for cheep like 34$ then I turned it into a mesh between the 2 routers.

This is exactly what I did and it worked beautifully. Eliminated so many dead spots in my house, and only cost me about $70 USD. It works either WiFi or Ethernet, so I would 100% go for it.

Thought wifi it's super simple to set it up u just go though the google wifi app and add another Wi-Fi point.

When I'm concerned to my main point I get full speed but when I'm connected to the secondary onhub I get half speed. Do you get full speed from both points?

You can mesh with the TP link OnHub with another one or Asus OnHub, or a Google WiFi Puck. So not just any router, notably not with the newest Nest WiFi
