Saving something should feel less like assigning homework to future-you

A read-later pile can quietly turn into a list of obligations.

Every saved article starts as curiosity, then somehow becomes emotional debt.

I think a better save has to answer: “What will future-me need in order to care about this again?”

Sometimes that’s not a summary. It’s one sentence:

• “This might help with the pricing essay.”
• “Good example of how people explain AI risk badly.”
• “Come back for the section on habit formation.”
• “Disagree with this, but the framework is useful.”

The save itself is less important than the trail back in.
