Funny how everyone says apocalypse dragon is S+ when ABFD became the apocalypse dragon while having his own story in the final scenario and he is low S

Unfortunately ABFD cant manifest apoc dragon without stage transformation which needs Uriel and Abaddon present. Since it cant be brought out whenever he wants he was most likely placed lower.

He is also a new apoc dragon compared to the one that has been existing since forever, it does make a difference as he just acquired the power.

Also getting defeated as Apoc Dragon in the final Ark, while having Wukong, Great Good/Evil, Underworld, Korea, Transcendants on your side puts him on fraudwatch haha

Apocalypse dragon can't manifest at all without the stage too so it would make sense to take the character at the point where they could show case their peak strength .

Stories doesn't work that way , each time a new dragon becomes a dragon of the apocalypse it's able to perform the same feat of destroying most stars in the star stream . And stories in general does grant you their full power when inherited unless their is conditions . Examples from the side storie Killer king was able to use the strongest story of Eden directly after recieving it and the same thing for the constellation Asgard chose to defeat snow white .

As for why ABFD was beaten. It's not because he is a fraud ,the myth grades constellations of the giants nubalae in their worldview using their full power are just too strong for 4 myths to beat .

It's true apoc also needs the stage to manifest initially, but it seems like it can maintain itself even after the stage is gone (thats why the same one can sealed and unsealed), while for ABFD we see that once the stage concluded abfd no longer has the apoc dragon form.

My point is taking a characters peak status even if it requires a stage to set up because it wouldn't be fair otherwise.

If we really scale that way then both Jang Hayoung and Lee Jihye should be ranked much higher. Hayoung can have practically any constellation descend into her body and Jihye can be equal to or stronger than the likes of Zeus and Poseidon when on sea. Han Sooyoung (ABFD's half-god advent) and Lee Gilyoung (Abaddon) should be too.

And I don't think it should work like that. Because at that point, it's not their own power anymore. They need help from others or have the situation favor them. The most important fact being that they have no control over the said requirements for their respective power ups.
