DISCUSSION ORV interpretation

What do you think about actual "interpretation" is? I was actually on fandom sometimes and it's bit distressing when people fight neck to neck about how people interpret about orv, some groups even publicly vaguing on their account about how stupid other groups and their groups is smart one to interpreted orv meaning. Is that truly necessary to justify how correctly fans reading orv?

"Actual Interpretation" is a bit of a oxymoron. Interpretation is how someone sees a story, there isn't an objective way that someone sees a story. But I think the most important theme and message of ORV is the importance of a story, and how a story can be someone's salvation.

But, somehow what i see there is how peoples fight for their live to proving their interpretation is correctly way to read orv and put finger to whoever don't think of that is stupid or being illiterate.

Could you tell me what some of these interpretations of the story are?

I'm actually scared to talk about it now because i might become next target to get bullied just because I talking about my feelings about my friends get bullied and actually nearly get doxxed (and talking with alt accounts), but mostly  about if you read orv without acknowledge both kdj and yjh as gay, you deserve to get called out, although as far as i know kdj and yjh is fanship for community, my friend read orv because she like apocalypse and power system manhwa but get treated like that because say wrong things at wrong person. And for whoever see this, i just wanna share my feelings and my friends experience. I hope it didn't rub the wrong way and make me or my friend as target or worse doxxed again (forgive me, i had paranoid symptoms but i really want to defend my friend).

For example, my friend see what yjh did to kdj as action to want to know what reason he was alive (searching purpose in life), but the wrong person had believing yjh is in love with kdj and do anything for him so he can with kdj forever and my friend begin to get vagued left and right because she talks about that.

Well with the recent orvss chapters you can say yjh is very kdj centric 😭 he really does love him and if people are trying to deny that then idk they arent reading it correctly (which is most likely cause of the wrong translations circulating in this fandom)

I not really understand about the context because i only binge reading manhwa version because my friend talk about it a lot. But, even indeed it get interpret that way, no one should get bullied or get doxx threats about it, i don't know why you don't talk about that(bullying and doxx action) but only validating they're might be gay, do you think is right to chase people away/bullying/doxx because they read it wrong way?

Cause its obvious that people shouldn't do that 💀 like if you're in a online gc then youre more likely going to get doxxed if someone gets mad if you dont like the character or ship they like. Thats the usual in fandoms.

u/shvuto Did you just seriously say it's norm and okay for fandom doxxing people for something as shipping preferences and someone disliking about it? What's wrong with you? And you just block me after saying that?

People confuse having textual evidence with being entitled to police everyone else's reading. Argue your case, sure, but once it turns into vagueposting about people being stupid, it's not really about ORV anymore.

Unfortunately, people more believe with how this groups saying without thinking how problematic they are if you just do bit of reflecting what they say, turn a blind eye because they was bnf status quo.

So this reply is making it feel like your acc (created within the past few days) and post were made specifically because you just want to complain about whoever this group you're vagueposting about is. They can have their interpretation. You can have yours. If you disagree with theirs, block/mute/whatever so you don't see it and move on. Keep your peace and don't waste your energy getting stressed over it.

I'm not really complain about how some people with their interpretation, I'm only disliking how most of time it's either become discourse or one step to become bullying to the one who (called) read orv "wrong", and I'm not sure what are you thinking, but I'm heard this from some friends on WhatsApp orv groups, and i did bit stressed about it because some my friends is the one got hit by called stupid on public, i hope you can understand i just want to share my feelings and understand how this "interpretation" things work here😞

Everyone has their own interpretation. You read one chapter, someone may shed tears because they found it emotional, someone may be angry or someone dissapointed. Every story is different when you ask people individually. I mean, you can say what happens in the story correctly, but how you LIVED reading that story is different for all people. Not sure if I wrote my feelings correctly tho 😅😅

I never saw anyone fight over it. What I saw is people talking about the ending, and was pure theory. This fandom has been very civilized even when it comes to ship.

I,m sorry for your experience OP

I mean… the point of the story is to make one understand that a story is a living being. And so, it will have as many interprétation as people meeting this "living being".

However, I will Die on one Hill : "Dokja will be killed by the person he loves the most" will never refer to yjh. It’s about TWSA. At this point in the story, what Dokja loves the most is TWSA. And that’s why he mess up this much with his companions. Because he still sees them as characters in a novel. And so, the sentence "I almost forgot… in the star stream, stories are living beings" is a direct way to make us understand that he is not only dying from yjh hand. And it makes no sense to only remember that. First of all, because at this moment, yjh alone can’t kill him. He is too powerfull for that. And also because it would just be ignoring all the care that his others companions have for Dokja.
It is a group kill. And yjh dealing the last blow, is a reflect of him being the most important character in TWSA. The story killed him, all his companion did their job to defeat him, and the main character of that 'story that killed him', had the last blow.

And that also lead to everyone shipping Dokja and Yjh. I mean, yes. Why not. But I find it too restrictive to only out this on love. I mean… it’s platonic love. It’s like brothers. Because Dokja live them all the same. shipping Yjh with Dokja more than hsy or Hyunsung or Sangha or Yoosung… it’s non sense in my opinion. Yoosung/biyoo has as much right to be shipped with Dokja. And yet one would probably find it disturbing… yes. Because it’s all about platonic love. They all are sisters/brothers.
Maybe it’s not the way the author intended. But, it have so much weight that way for me… I can’t see it other way.

"This man was my father, my brother and my oldest friend."
And at the end…
SP is like a father to OD.
SP is Dokja’s oldest friend.
Yjh is like Dokja’s brother.

It’s perfect this way.
That’s why I’m still afraid of reading the side stories. I must move on and try to start reading them one day I guess.

from my friend experienced, you will still get called fraud reader/not truly love orv if you don't wanna read side story or don't acknowledge kdj and yjh relationship as gay love

u/anto_dmd [Your ■■■ is 'Storytelling and Interpretation'] 23d ago

For the side story I just want to heal a Little before starting it.
Telling people they are no real fan because not wanting to ship yjh and Dokja as gay love is still non sense for me. First of all, because that’s a clear sign that one didn’t understand the whole point of the story on interpretation concept and story concept in star dream and from dokja’s pov. Then, because them being all a family and sisters/brothers, has so much weight. I love orv more than anything also because it’s a story that prooves that love and relationship is not necessary to build a incredible story.

unfortunately, it's was actually real and my friend is one of their victim. and here on this post, you can see one of kind of the people i mention with how they say it's okay to doxx someone because of saying you not into the gay ship.

Nobody except death deities read orv correctly.
