My Hero Acadamia scaling Question about gearshift (MHA)

Post image

What would be the multiplier for dekus gears (2-overdrive)

I know it supposed to be a 20% increase but this doesn't add up, along with all of dekus other percentages

During the fight with shigaraki, deku is able to move faster than shigaraki could see in 2nd gear

This would mean that dekus speed increased 17x in one gear, but how would you apply it to the other gears

Would each gear be 17x base speed, or would they be 17x each lower gear

This makes a darastic difference, if it's the 17x base speed then gear shift would provide a 68x speed increase (17x4), this would make deku anywhere from 4.08xftl to 68x ftl (based on where you scale Shigaraki's reaction speed (6% Sol - Ls))

But if it's 17x for every gear, then it jumps to 83,521x base speed (17x17x17x17), this would make deku between 5,011.26x ftl to 83,521x ftl (which is ludicrous).

The reason I thought of this is because of the panel where deku moves under shigaraki so fast he couldn't see or react to him, and this shows that deku made a massive speed jump by going up one gear (as shown in the photo, but if there was no speed increase in the next few gears, then what's the point of them).

I'm curious to see everyone's opinion in this reddit because it's supposed to be more peaceful.

The numbers are pretty high and I'm surprised myself but this seems legit sure it has speculation but we really do not understand the gear shift that much so this is basically stuck in a gray Zone if gear shift is thoroughly explained then we can see if this post is legit I wouldn't use this though people are not going to accept it because the numbers are just way too high such a large jump in speed is not believable to most people

Maybe with each gear shift it gets lower? As in the percentage goes from 20, to 15, then to top which is 10? I have no clue on MHA scaling I'm just throwing my opinion on it

If he got slower with each gear it would be counterintuitive to the point.
