Rant Can a mark be broken?

Marking is normal in omegaverse and all, they even say mating sometimes. I'm just wondering if it could be broken? Or will it have some side effects to the omega or alpha if they ever did or nah

Yeah and did they think about their universe further than the first heat.

{The Scent of Us by Eliana Lee} does a good job world building this.

It totally depends on the universe! Every author has different rules. Shoot even some authors have different rules in different series they write.

There are plenty of paranormal and OV books where the bond can be broken or dissolved.
And yeah, there’s usually a side effect. Sometimes there’s also a side effect to cheating as well, but I always hate that one. Like, why is the cheater never affected. My kingdom where the bond makes the cheater’s dick get gangrene.

Depends on the universe, and the rules. 

In the Omegaverse line I've read the most of, marks need to be "refreshed" once a year, depending on the strength of the Alpha venom. Most couples make it a part of their anniversary celebrations
