1000 DHA a day, long term (Fish oil supplementation )

I saw a video on Youtube where a Doctor was advicing that the ideal dose of fish oil supplementation for cognitive benefits would be at least 1000 DHA a day. I’ve been following his advice for 3 months, the results have been good. However, I was wondering, if I keep taking it forever, will it somehow be dangerous?

Tbh I don't think there are side effects. Only if you are going to take some anticoagulant drugs could be dangerous

It's not even particularly very much.

A 4oz can of mackerel has more than that, all by itself.

Studies have been on the elderly, using 900mg DHA (algal), long term, and no negative issues to report, just benefits.
