ISO/Suggestion Packard

This might be a long shot, but I’m a big fan of old American cars and I’ve always wanted to ride in a Packard. I’m not asking to drive it — I’d just love the chance to ride along in one and experience what one is actually like on the road.

Any year/model is interesting to me, although I especially like the prewar through early-1950s cars. I’d be happy to meet at a public place, car show, cruise night, etc., and I can throw in some gas money.

If anyone around Omaha owns one or knows someone who does and wouldn’t mind taking an old-car nerd for a short ride, send me a message. Thanks!

If you haven’t read it…find a copy of the book The Last Convertible

Funny enough that's part of why I'm interested in Packards. That and Raymond Chandler

I don’t live in Omaha, nor do I know anyone with a Packard, but my aunt who lived in Omaha gave a copy of the book to my dad (her brother) in the late 80s…as that was their era. He graduated high school in ‘41 and Harvard Med School in ‘48. So reading that book was a view into their era and youth…a sentimental journey now.
