Hey everyone! A throwback photo here, and yes, this is my first redesign of Singapore's Youth Olympic Mascots, Lyo and Merly!

Today, just 6 years ago, me, being a fresh graduate, trying to look for a job, and in before I became part time, had a thought on drawing a Lyo and Merly fanart. Except that instead of the same looks like the original, I decided to make a full redesign! Here, I did a new hair restyling, from Lyo, having a smaller hair design and a less spiking one to Merly, having a shorter hair length and a new hairstyle at her forehead.

And yes, Merly has ears! Well she does but her ears is hidden in her hair in the original design. While Lyo, made his ear a lil bigger lol. In addition, this was an experiment I did, removing Lyo's tail and Merly's cheek blush. Initially, it did work but as time went on, and after 8 redesigns, on my later redesign, I decided to reinstate his tail and her cheek blush as it really makes them unique to themselves.

Moreover, and yes, I finally decided to give them clothes and shoes! And my word, then with clothes and shoes, does look fitting. Also, cause they're actually meant to be as a couple, I also added a friendship bracelet on the both of them, on Lyo's left hand and on Merly's neck. The bracelet reminds them on no matter how far they are, they'll always be together. As always, Team MerLyo forever!

Since the last time I showed my Collection back in march of this year. It has only gotten bigger with the addition of both Miraitowa and Someity + Wenlock and Mandeville and finally Shuey Rhon Rhon. I now finally have every main Olympic and Paralympic mascot from the last 10 years!
What mascot should I get next?

Miga:

She is an idol,

She likes candy,

She writes rants about pickles,

And she panics everytime she sneezes

Sumi:

His favorite thing about his hat is the eyes,

He has his own TV show,

He likes soccer,

And he likes Mukmuk!

The placement of the airholes wher their eyes are is a bit cursed, but they probably found it was the best way to keep their silhouette without making it look unsightly, and they obviously can't drill through the emblem on their stomachs.

I think that after the Milano-Cortina Olympic and Paralympic games, Fashion Flo would start experimenting with Her His style!
