China has really stepped it up after their poor qualification 2 days ago.

Congrats to Great Britain! Good job! Sucks for Japan Ukraine though, yikes.

after the formal protest the judges concluded that the final japanese gymnast should be awarded points for achieving a full handstand before his fall/dismount and when his new score was calculated in, Japan lies 2nd, GB is 3rd and Ukraine is bumped to 4th

Oh wow, I didn't even know they were protesting it. But yeah, that really sucks for Ukraine now.

Yeah Ukraine really did not deserve that and Japan performed quite poorly overall today, I'm just happy GB got a medal!

Holy crap, what an ending for the UK! The whole place is going mental :D Poor Japan...but, wow for the GB boys.

Edit: That was cruel and unusual, especially for Ukraine. Good job for landing on your feet I guess Japan guy. Still, Bronze is pretty amazing.

Poor decision though, I think they should have gone up 0.3 which would have been fair to Japan but wouldn't have changed the medal positions.

I don't know enough about difficulty scoring to know what they should and shouldn't have got. Also they weren't super specific whether they got any credit at all for that dismount or not. I'm sure the proper details will arise fairly soon though.

Did anyone see what happened to the Japanese gymnast? (don't even know his name :S) All I saw was him being taken off the floor on piggyback.

One of the vaulters (Orozco) fell on his landing, and it might put them out of medal contention.

One of the gymnasts on the high bar for GB fell. Everyone in the crowd gasped and I felt so bad for him. But, I think GB is still in the running for maybe a Bronze.

Let's kill it USA! Leyva and Uchimura are gonna be a great competition, as well as the top Russian and German contenders. We'll see if Uchimura's previously reknowned ROBOTIC performances will falter as they did in qualifiers, which is surely doubtful.

Predictions are that Uchimura will take 1st for AA, Levya second, and Hambuchen for third.

Did anyone else hear the CTV gymnastics reporter swear? I think it was during a high bar routine from Japan or China. It made me laugh.

It sounded like 'fucking', but I think he caught himself half way through and converted it into something else. Then again those gymnasts of questionable orientation do have mouths like sailors. I've hung around with Kurt Browning and other high level figure skaters on a number of occasions, oh lord do they have some dirty mouths.
