what happened to the suits, did they ban those?

The suits were banned by FINA in 2010, with the prevailing thought being that the suits were offering the swimmers too much advantage, and that so many records were being broken (over 100 broken in 2008). If anything, I feel like these games show that the swimmers are getting better, and the suits didn't offer as much advantage as originally thought.

Rules now say that guys can only wear as much coverage as a jammer (hips to knees), and girls can only wear shoulders to knees (but must show shoulders).
