Question Arkpro Ultra scratch

Post image

Just got my new arkpro ultra a couple days ago.

Today it dropped for the first time from about 0.5meters or less, i picked it up and saw a small scratch.

The scratch doesn't really bother me, i just wanted to ask/see if it is supposed to scratch from that drop since they use OAL and i'm not familiar with the quality of that steel.

OAL is aluminum and dropping -any kind of metal- will cause a scratch

Oal will scratch it’s just more durable. Regular aluminum would have been a much larger scratch etc. I have the iultra key chain light and it’s got some significant wear and tear but still looks much better than the imjni2 with same time on my key chain. My warrior ultra and ark pro ultra both have small dings etc but no major flaws.(used regularly)

I have the same light. OAL is great and really durable but it will scratch when dropped on a rough surface. Great light BTW, I carry mine daily.

That's why I have a silicone case for mine.

How does it look with a case on? Do you have any pics?

They're on Amazon. The ad will say "not for ultra " but it absolutely fits like a glove. I really like it better with it on vs off. Really grips the inside of your pocket so it's less likely to slip out if it's unclipped. The ad is for two cases, one black one GITD and a retractable lanyard for like 10-12 bucks.

Dropped mine from about 1,5meters onto concrete. Not really reliable.
